In the afternoon, Thea Lynch left the house with her car keys.
Her aunt seemed concerned, "You're going out alone? There are lots of cars this time."
In the days leading up to the New Year, everyone is out buying holiday goods, and the streets are quite busy.
"No, Sean Bell just called me, he's giving me a ride over."
"Alright then, come back early."
"Mm-hmm." Thea nodded. Just as she was about to leave, her aunt slipped a card into her pocket.
"I don't need it, I have money." Thea smiled wryly, "I've been working for over half a year now."
She's not a child anymore.
Silas Cheney hadn't skimped on her salary over these months.
She was currently quite well-off.
"It's New Year, not just any other time."
"Should I buy myself a piece of clothing?" Thea couldn't refuse.
Her aunt finally laughed, "Alright, go ahead."
Just as she stepped out, Thea saw Sean heading in her direction from afar.
When he got closer, she tossed the car keys to him so he could drive.
