Because it's near the New Year, they're going to Coronet this year for the holiday, so they gave the servants at home an early vacation.
Thea Lynch's uncle knew she was having trouble sleeping at night and specially came to heat up some milk for her.
"No need." Thea Lynch shuffled in her slippers and dashed into the kitchen, breezing past her uncle like a gust of wind.
She rummaged through the cabinet and found some hangover tea.
"What's that for?"
"Ian Preston's coming over later; he's drunk tonight."
"..." Her uncle was speechless, "Just a few days without seeing him and here he comes."
"No, he got drunk and said he wants to see the snow."
Her uncle snorted, "Is he here to see the snow or see someone? I'm too lazy to expose him."
"..." Thea Lynch bit her lip, too shy to respond.
"He gets disoriented when he's had a drink. When you marry him, make sure to take care of him. What a nuisance, causing a fuss when he's drunk."
