Jay Sterling remembered what happened before he lost consciousness. When he pushed open the door, the only thought in his mind was: This is the end for me in this life.

Natalie Vaughn saw Jay Sterling in this state and felt both heartbroken and amused.
"You don't have any major issues."
Hearing this, Jay Sterling's eyes lit up, and he struggled to get up, only to scream when he pulled at his wounds.
Natalie Vaughn immediately pressed him back down.
"What are you moving for? With injuries like that, you'll be in pain."
Jay Sterling was pressed back onto the bed by Natalie Vaughn, his brow furrowed in pain, unable to relax.
"Nina, am I really not crippled?"
