Phoebe Quinn crouched down and, upon seeing the small puddle of liquid under the car, her face fell.
The pungent smell told them.
Someone had tampered with the brake fluid of the car.
In other words, if they hadn't noticed and had gotten into the car directly, who knows what might have happened in the end.
"Nina, could this also be the work of that stupid woman?"
Natalie Vaughn shook her head.
"She wouldn't have the guts for this."
"Then who might have done this?"
Natalie already had someone in mind. She never expected Danny would go to such lengths.
"Another foolish person."
Natalie recounted the events from five years ago and the incidents at Jack's Styling Salon to Phoebe. Phoebe was so angry that she stamped her foot.
"So, he resorted to underhanded tactics because he couldn't compete with God Thorne? Damn! I really want to go over and give him a good beating."
Natalie chuckled.
