"Really??" Vivian asked him with some disbelief.
"Really." Ethan Hayes nodded, walking forward with his head down, still sounding a bit sullen.
Vivian bit her lip, not sure what to say for a moment. Silently, she leaned on Ethan's shoulder, tilting her head to look at the scenery along the path.
The summer night's breeze carried a slight chill, with the air filled with the sweet scent of flowers.
After leaning for a while, she suddenly realized that even though he seemed tall and skinny, his shoulders were actually broad. As he carried her step by step forward, it oddly reminded her of her childhood, of when her dad would silently carry her home after she got tired.
