"Is this the lunch you prepared?"
Ian Rowe's angry expression was still vivid in Maya Monroe's mind, and she didn't dare confront him now: "It's not exactly lunch... but I indeed had someone prepare it."
Ian seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, then looked at Maya: "You haven't eaten, have you? Come and eat."
Kane Davis stood nearby, realized the issue had been resolved, and then opened the door to leave. It wasn't appropriate for him to stand there while the boss was having a moment with his wife.
Ian and Maya tacitly decided not to bring up what had just happened, and the usual calm atmosphere returned.
Maya still stood by, refusing: "This was prepared for you. I won't eat. It's getting late, I should just..."
Ian put down his chopsticks, slowly looking at her with authority: "Come over."
Sensing his tone was a bit too harsh, he added, "This food is enough for two people, come and eat with me."
Inwardly grumbling, Maya moved over.
