Eliath burst out laughing, cackling like a maniac. She tilted her head up at Mark.
"You really think I'll be that easy to handle, human? Then you don't know the power of us demonic beasts."
She kicked off the ground, launching herself at full speed through the air. But Mark didn't even blink. He pointed his sword downward, and light gathered at its tip.
"Stay back."
A blast of pure light magic erupted from the blade and slammed directly into Eliath's chest. She reacted as fast as she could, folding her wings in front of her to block it. The impact still hurled her back like a meteor.
BOOM.
She crashed into the ground, tearing through buildings and stone.
"It is one thing if you attack humans. It is one thing if you take our land. It is one thing if you wage war…" Mark said as he stepped forward, light swirling around him. "But what I will never allow, ever, is you laying a hand on someone close to me."
