The butler's words startled Summer Shawcross, and she looked at her with a hint of surprise on her face.
"Why do you say that?"
Though Mr. Drexler is considered her father-in-law, she had never met him.
"Mr. Drexler was expelled from the family by the old Mr. Drexler before he was even a year old, and he wandered for years with his mother, enduring all the hardships of the world! His mother was already weak and in poor health, struggling even to secure basic needs for herself and her young son. I still remember when Mr. Drexler was five years old; he had a high fever, and his mother, drenched in the rain, knelt at my doorstep, begging me to save her child. If it weren't for my help back then, they both might not have survived! Tell me, are the Drexler Family even human!" The butler spoke of the past with anger and distress.
