A few days later, Tong Yan received a phone call that filled her with excitement—it was from Director Zeng Qing.
"Hello, Miss Tong. There's a role in my movie that I'd like you to play. Are you interested?"
Tong Yan's heart was racing with excitement. She had thought she wouldn't have anything to do with Director Zeng, but unexpected surprises happen, so she agreed immediately, "Yes, yes, yes."
Her response was completely unreserved and full of enthusiasm.
Zeng Qing laughed on the other end of the line, "I'll send you the script shortly. The filming will start in four to five months. In the meantime, try to understand the character well and aim for fewer NGs."
Tong Yan nodded and agreed.
Zeng Qing was quick, and soon she received the script and contract.
