Su Huan repeated those words playfully, "They tore up the ticket."
Juan's body instantly shook like a sieve, with beads of sweat as large as beans rolling down.
"Brother Su, there must be a misunderstanding here, it's definitely someone… those two people wanted to harm me!"
"You were the one who chose those people yourself." Su Huan smiled noncommittally and turned his head to look at the workers below, "Did the other side refuse to trade?"
The worker was stunned for a moment, then nodded heavily, "Those two went up and said a few words, then tried to catch us along with that group, but they got blown up by Boss Gao's supernatural power."
"Impossible, how would they have the guts?" Juan quickly said.
"Shut up!"
Su Huan's voice suddenly turned cold.
Juan shivered and dared not speak again.
Su Huan squinted his eyes and asked the worker, "Are you saying those two people came with them to catch you?"
The worker was startled for a moment, "Yes, then Boss Gao fought with them, and that's when I took advantage of the chaos to run back. Boss Su, we must quickly go and rescue Boss Gao."
Su Huan smiled and patted Juan's cheek, "Looks like they really don't care whether you live or die."
As soon as these words fell, before giving him a chance to speak, he directly plunged his reddened index finger into Juan's temple.
The man, with his eyes bulging, fell headfirst, dropping to the ground below the carriage.
The worker quickly stepped aside, but was still splashed with muddy water.
Su Huan calmly said, "Liang Kuan, take a team and clear the zombies around the train."
Liang Kuan answered sullenly and hesitated for a moment before asking, "Are we still going to the water plant?"
...
"Of course, we will!"
Inside carriage number 9, an energetic old man stood by the window, speaking confidently.
The man with a scar on his face touched the scar on his cheek and said curiously, "Old Qin, why are you all speaking in circles? Didn't you say that the Su guy wouldn't get off the train? And even if Starry Property refused the deal, it doesn't make sense for them to kill Boss Gao, right? Aren't there too many loopholes in this?"
The old man glanced at him and shook his head, "Su Huan is highly suspicious, especially when dealing with Gao Zhe. Even if you give him a hundred reasonable explanations, he won't believe them. Instead, give him a few blatantly flawed pieces of information, and he'll become paranoid."
"From the first day of the apocalypse, he decisively seized the train, then collected supplies and armed it. With this mindset, this decisiveness, he would be considered a hero in any era, yet such people all have a weakness."
"Arrogance?" the scar-faced man asked thoughtfully.
"It's obsession!"
Old Qin took a handkerchief from his pocket and carefully wiped the sweat from his beard, speaking earnestly, "Everyone with ability has their own obsessions."
"They won't easily give up on plans they've made, and this is both their strength and their weakness."
"Since he went to great lengths to obtain a water purifier, he won't give up easily."
"Even if he knows Gao Zhe is lying in wait for him."
The scar-faced man touched his chest, wiping away sweat, feeling frustrated, "But what if it drags on? The Su guy has food, drinks, and air conditioning beauties in the carriage, while Boss Gao is in the perilous wilds."
"It won't take long. Su Huan is more impatient than we are, see, here he goes out?"
Old Qin watched as two silhouettes suddenly passed by outside the window, his eyes flickering.
A worker in work clothes walked behind, dragging a body, while a young man in a gray T-shirt and jeans walked ahead.
The worker followed somewhat apprehensively, cautiously observing Su Huan.
Afraid that if zombies were attracted, the other would just abandon him and run.
Seeing more and more weeds around them, almost obscuring the train from view, the worker couldn't help but ask, "Boss Su, where are we heading? Are we going to save Boss Gao?"
Su Huan's eyes scanned around and suddenly fixed on a spot.
It was a clump of grass with a one-meter diameter, with several red vines mixed in with the green.
The vine was dark red, resembling veins, with transparent barbs on the surface.
At first glance, it looked like a sea-buckthorn, with branches spread out wildly.
"Throw the body you're holding over there."
The worker swallowed and dragged the body forward, then swung it by the legs, sending the upper body into the grass.
Unexpectedly, the previously quiet plant suddenly moved.
The red vines struck at the body like swords.
"Puff!"
A vine pierced through the body, directly stabbing into the worker's arm.
The worker let out a scream, tried to run, but found his feet tangled by vines, stumbling with each step.
Within a few seconds, both legs were tightly wrapped by the vines.
Seeing more vines climbing over like living creatures, the worker, tears streaming down, pleaded for help from the approaching Su Huan.
Su Huan looked at the worker entangled by the Bloodthirsty Vine, his gaze deep, "You said earlier that those two people came with them to catch you?"
"Yes, yes, they started to attack us first, Boss Su, please save me, please save me!"
The worker struggled desperately as the Bloodthirsty Vine dragged him.
A red light glowed from Su Huan's hand, causing the approaching Bloodthirsty Vine to hesitate for a moment, avoiding Su Huan and turning back to continue winding around the worker.
Each vine pierced through the worker's body, revealing bloody thorns.
Su Huan extended a finger, poking at the vine like pressing an iron through butter, both the vine and flesh carbonizing, leaving a hole.
The worker cried out in agony, wailing, "I was wrong, Boss Su, I shouldn't have lied to you, please spare me this once."
Su Huan unhurriedly poked at the vines on him.
Like playing whack-a-mole.
Though it stopped the Bloodthirsty Vine from devouring him, the worker was left with dozens of deep and shallow holes in his body.
It drove him to unbearable pain.
"What did you lie to me about?"
"They… didn't attack us, Gao Zhe hasn't entered the water plant yet… then used superpowers to kill those two."
The worker said intermittently.
Su Huan squinted; this worker probably didn't know about the bombs hidden in their pockets, mistaking it for Gao Zhe's superpower.
As for why this worker cooperated with Gao Zhe, there could be many reasons.
Either he was subdued in the carriage or threatened on the spot.
There may be other details, but it's more or less as he suspected.
Gao Zhe's goal is singular, to lure him out of the carriage!
While he was contemplating, the Bloodthirsty Vine attacked again.
The worker attempted to plead for mercy, but red vine-like branches had already grown from his mouth.
Emitting a few strange "huhuh" sounds, he became completely silent.
His eyes lost their luster.
After absorbing two bodies, the Bloodthirsty Vine became more vividly red.
Within a few minutes, a few fruits appeared between the vines, covered in a thin membrane, with a pool of blood inside.
They looked crystal clear, tender, and luscious.
