In Xinqiao Town, a retro bridal procession was stirring up quite the commotion with music and merriment.
The groom donned a red robe, a big red flower on his chest, swaggering atop a horse, looking very impressive.
"Wow~ So cool, a traditional Chinese wedding, this is too cool."
The town hadn't seen a traditional Chinese wedding like this in decades. Nowadays, people use a couple of luxury cars to pick up the bride, rarely seeing a procession with 22 people carrying a grand sedan chair and the groom riding a tall horse.
Leading the procession were two people with opening gongs and flags, followed by two joy placard carriers, a folk music band with a suona, sheng, small drum, and cymbals totalling four people, two joy fans, eight sedan chair carriers, and finally two carrying dragon and phoenix parasols.
