Charles paused briefly while putting on his coat, and said meaningfully, "Okay, I've taken your advice."
After finishing, he took the medical card handed by Dr. Jacobs and left the room.
Outside the room, Charles didn't rush to leave. Instead, he moved slowly, observing the surroundings with a meticulous gaze.
After looking around, his gaze locked onto the stairwell about ten meters away on his right.
He lifted his foot, walking step by step toward the stairwell. When he reached the corner, he stopped, looking with complex emotions at the shadow cast by the sunlight from the window.
Charles was so concentrated on watching the shadow on the ground that he did not notice the shy and timid glances of the nurse at the reception desk behind him.
From the moment he walked out of the consulting room, the nurse's gaze had been fixed on him.
Seeing him standing still, the nurse couldn't help but walk over, "Sir, do you need any assistance?"
