Assistant Collins, feeling utterly puzzled: "Who said that? As the president's assistant, even I don't know about it. How could anyone's information be faster or more accurate than mine?"
The group exchanged glances, and the man who first spoke stepped forward to explain, "When Hudson went in to deliver some documents, he saw President Sinclair and Miss Huxley hugging by the window. He was so startled that he immediately backed out."
"Is this for real?" Assistant Collins was stunned, "Is it true? How come I didn't know?"
"It should be true. Hudson didn't intend to spread the word. He was just scared at the time and casually asked some colleagues nearby if interrupting President Sinclair's date would get him fired. He didn't notice the surroundings when he asked, and others overheard, leading to us finding out."
