The brilliant golden lights of the Flower Pavilion suddenly dimmed as darkness enveloped it from a distance.
The scattered crowd on the street in the early hours were all momentarily stunned.
In the van one block away, Officer Ma couldn't help but exclaim:
"What the hell! What's going on here?!"
Officer Hu looked at Officer Ma in confusion and asked:
"Old Ma, what's up? Why the surprise?"
Officer Ma pointed at the monitor screen and said:
"Didn't you see the lights go out at the Flower Pavilion?"
Listening to Officer Ma and watching his exaggerated actions, Officer Hu responded skeptically:
"Isn't it just a power outage? What's so surprising about that?"
"Yes! It's just a power outage..." Officer Ma's mouth twitched awkwardly as he said:
"But if I tell you that since the Flower Pavilion started construction fifteen years ago, it's never had a power outage until now, how would you feel?"
"What?!"
Officer Hu let out a low exclamation upon hearing Officer Ma's explanation.
