When Simon Forrester first woke up, the hospital room was completely empty.
He didn't know how long he had been unconscious, didn't know the current date, or even where he was.
He found that he couldn't remember many things; his mind was a bit chaotic.
He searched the room for that slender, tall figure and the face he still thought about before the fall. But she wasn't there; there was no trace of Sienna Thornton in the room, which left him feeling a little lost, like an abandoned child unable to find their mother, vulnerable and helpless.
His gaze continued to search every corner of the room, and finally, he saw that familiar travel bag on the sofa and those familiar high heels on the floor, which immediately calmed him down. He lay in bed, quietly waiting for her to appear.
When he saw her come out of the bathroom, wearing familiar pajamas and with a swollen face, he felt everything settle.
