As the nail polish cap was screwed on, Simon Forrester looked up at Sienna Thornton, his gaze focused and sharp, as if trying to see through everything hidden within her: "Harvard didn't give a full scholarship, so Thomas Reed sends money to your account every month?"
"Ha," Sienna met his gaze, smiling coldly, "If I were taking money from Partner Reed, would I still be living in an old shabby apartment without an elevator?"
Simon raised his eyebrows at her, his eyes seemingly saying—poor living conditions don't negate the possibility of Thomas Reed sending you money.
He didn't say it aloud, but Sienna could easily catch his thought.
Sienna originally didn't want to bring up the Mrs. Reed incident again, but considering Simon Forrester helped her in front of Mrs. Reed that night, she made an exception to explain.
