"Wolf Child, you finally came back…"
Little Beiting watched Little Wolf Child come back with a small hoe over his shoulder, then went pattering toward him.
"Wolf Child, why didn't you wait for me?" Little Beiting said. "We agreed to go together!"
Little Wolf Child and the Nameless Elder had gone to gather medicinal herbs, and Little Beiting had said he wanted to go with them too.
Little Wolf Child gave Little Beiting a cool glance. "Who told you to be such a glutton? You'd just eaten, and then Grandpa Bai called you and you started eating again. I couldn't be bothered to wait for you."
Little Beiting sheepishly rubbed his little tummy. "..."
It wasn't that he wanted to eat; it was his mouth and his stomach that wanted to eat.
"Grandpa Nameless, are these the herbs you dug up?" Little Beiting stared curiously at the basket the Nameless Elder was carrying.
