Avoidance might be shameful, but it's useful – Empress's Sayings • Part Five
Every royal family possesses a hunting ground, not just as a form of entertainment, but as a symbol of royal power and dignity.
The royal hunting ground in the East Garden holds an autumn hunt every year, serving as an opportunity to strengthen ties with the officials.
More importantly, it's one of the few large-scale entertainment events of this era.
But... Shen Jingxian is not interested.
She can't shoot an arrow and doesn't want to ride a horse; it's too exhausting.
Nevertheless, the autumn hunt is a tradition. Even the retired Emperor looks eager to participate, so Shen Jingxian has no choice but to arbitrarily set a date and then continue to laze around.
She is truly exhausted.
Though she lies around every day, she doesn't quite understand why she feels so tired.
Perhaps just the thought of having to attend court someday is mentally exhausting.
