I am about to lose my mind the carriage ride only took 34 minutes to get to Xyrus academy but without my phone to destruct me it felt like fucking 2 hours I ended up having to start up a conversation with the brown haired maid Nina. Who had look shocked when I started speaking to her. She was even more shocked when I told her that I was now a dual elemental mage I told her to tell Lord Ortis Wyke Lucas's piss poor father the good news about his son potentially surpassing Bairon Wykes.
"Wow". I exclaim standing outside the gates of the magic school which was crowded by students from the diffferent races elves, dwarves and humans alike where mingling with each other. Xyrus academy is grandiose if I do say so myself really this place looks way better in person instead of seeing it trough a screen. As I am aw struck by the site of Xyrus academy a soft female voice jolts mw from my day dreaming. "My lord you will have to be on your own now your clothing has already been sent to your dorm room." Nina says to me in a soft tone but I simply wave her off . " Its ok I have been looking forward to attending Xyrus for a long time now."
The maid simply bowed and curtsied be for turning around and softly walking away from me. Damn I will never get used to getting treated like my shite tastes like nutella. I decide to walk toward the central white building where the entrance ceremony would be held Xyrus academy is pretty cool if I do say so myself. The crowd is filled with nothing but teenagers who are talking/gossiping about different things I don't care for it of cause that is until I hear my name.
"Is that Lucas Wykes from the renowned Wykes family."
"So its true his also attending Xyrus."
"I wonder if the rumours about him are true that his an AA class adventurer."
"No way I heard his only 14."
I don't care about the glazing of extras I just want to start learning how to use my magic properly for the upcoming threats like the Scythes and their retainers. At this point in the story everyone in Dicathen knows about Alacrya what they dont know is that the continent is ruled by an eccentric Basilisk named Agrona.
"Keep a straight line as you had toward the the central white building." A man dressed in a grey uniform shouts toward a group of students dressed in the Xyrus battle uniform. They all sneer but noticing the gazes of the other students they decide to do as their told. Cunts all of them I think to myself as I take my place in the massive line. wait what is the purpose of this line so decide to ask the person in front of me.
I tap the girl on the shoulder she yelps. " Wha who."
"Hey sorry for scaring you." I say to the green haired girl wearing glasses. "But what is the point of this." I say pointing my finger at the long line of students. She turned her head slightly revealing a slightly freckled face and yellow eyes over which a per of round glasses sit. I know this girl she is one the most frequent characters in the TBATE novel. "Emily!"
The name left my mouth without me knowing. "Huh do I know you." Emily says sounding confused. "Know you don't but, you've probably heard of my family." I point a finger at myself and extend my free hand speaking quietly but proudly. " My name is Lucas Wykes son of Ortis Wykes and brother of Lance Bairon Wykes."
"You're Lance Bairon's younger brother." She says taken aback and I don't blame her at this point and time the Lances are still worshiped by the people of Dicathen and so being related to one automatically makes people treat you like your shite tastes like nutella. Emily shakes my hand awkwardly and speaks gesturing to the line. "Its very nice to meet you Mr Wykes." She says nervously. "As for your earlier this line is for measuring our mana core levels and our elemental affinity."
I nod in understanding although I am really surprised to meet Emily Watsken of all people I hate being treated like some bomb that might blow up at any moment. "Call me Lucas, Emily I heard you created the display artifact that was used for the announcement of the council and the introduction of the Lances." I say with wonder in my voice.
Emily simply smiled shily. "Yes but its not that impressive I was only tinkering with some things at my parents lab."
"Oh tell me more about this tinkering of yours we've got plenty of time on our hands with this goddamn everlasting line".
"Sure Lucas." She awkwardly says greening like a mad scientist and so for what seemed like 4 hour because, you know I cant doom scroll Emily regaled with her tales of tinkering with different artifacts from a young age.
Some time later. "Student Lucas Wykes step forward." A female voice says jolting me from my daydream. Fuck I was thinking of eating fish and chips inside my lembo snarling I step forward the poor woman must've seen the look on my face so she said nervously. "Please Mr Wykes place your hand on this crystal and pour a steady stream some mana. I nod and do as instructed is this where the crystal shatters into a thousand pieces and everyone loses their hats and start glazing me as if I am crispy cream doughnut I muse poring mana into the crystal ball. Well I am no Arthur Leywin but other than him the is no one in Dicathen or Alacrya who can match my talent and level of growth this without mentioning my ten years of training in MMA in my previous life.
The woman dressed brown is wide eyed and shocked at my mana core level but what's shocking her more is. "Mr Wykes how do you have an affinity for 3 elements."
In my very first day at Xyrus academy the whole sschool was in turmoil over the revelation that I was a tri elemental mage the first in Dicathian history because Arthur hasn't revealed the fact that he is a quadra elemental mage yet which makes things easy for me.
"All according to plan."
