After the explosion, the two warriors shot forward in an instant.
"Boom!"
Their fists collided, and Gogeta's body was blasted backward by the impact.
"Boom!"
He crashed violently into a massive cliff, shattering the rock wall behind him into dust.
A sharp pain surged through his chest, and he almost spat blood, but Gogeta gritted his teeth and swallowed it down.
"Is the power gap really this huge?"
Gogeta frowned deeply.
He had unleashed his full might yet Lin Hao had effortlessly overpowered him. The strength of that single punch was more than twice the force of their last exchange.
"Big Bang Kamehameha!"
Gogeta roared, crossing his palms as a gigantic blue sphere of energy formed, then fired it straight toward Lin Hao.
"Whoosh…"
"Final Shine Attack!"
Lin Hao shouted, thrusting out his right hand as a green shockwave erupted forward to meet Gogeta's blast.
"Boom!"
The two colossal energy waves collided, creating an explosion that shook the entire Sacred World of the Kai. The ground was torn apart once again by the pressure of their combined power.
Dust and debris filled the air.
The two beams twisted against each other like raging dragons, each refusing to yield to the other's strength.
"Haaaah!"
Gogeta kept pouring out ki, channeling even more power into his Big Bang Kamehameha.
If brute force couldn't win, then overwhelming energy might.
As his aura flared higher, the blue beam widened and brightened, swallowing the sky in light.
Lin Hao could feel the increase in energy. If he didn't amplify his output, his own wave would be consumed.
"Haaaah!"
Lin Hao raised his power in response, his aura exploding in red-gold fury as his beam swelled now larger and brighter than Gogeta's attack.
"Boom!"
In the next instant, Gogeta was overwhelmed by the impact and hurled backward, smashing once more into the distant mountain wall.
"Ugh! Ugh!"
He coughed violently, crimson blood spilling from his lips. The damage from Lin Hao's attack was undeniable.
"Gogeta, your strength is truly impressive," Lin Hao said calmly, floating above him, "but defeating me is still impossible. This battle ends now."
"There's no way you can surpass me. The power I'm using now is barely twenty percent of my Super Saiyan 4 energy."
Lin Hao folded his arms in midair, his tone steady declaring the fight concluded.
Gogeta pushed himself up slowly, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.
"Two-tenths of your power?" he muttered. "You're telling me all that was only a fraction of your full strength? Just how high does it go?"
"It seems this duel truly is over."
Gogeta sighed, a hint of frustration in his voice. He had poured out nearly all his energy, yet Lin Hao hadn't even begun to fight seriously.
"Crack!"
A flash of light split across the sky Gogeta's Fusion abruptly dispersed.
"Eh? Fusion's over already?" Goku blinked as he and Vegeta reappeared separately. "It hasn't even been thirty minutes!"
"That's because you used too much energy," Lin Hao explained. "The higher your power output, the faster the Fusion time drains."
"So that's it! I knew it!" Goku grinned. "By the way, Lin Hao, what you said just now—was it really true?"
"Yeah."
Hearing Lin Hao confirm it himself, Son Goku and Vegeta exchanged stunned glances.
"This guy… just how strong is he? Not even the warrior born from my Fusion with Kakarot could stand up to him. Could it be…?"
Vegeta thought grimly to himself.
Originally, he'd believed that reaching Super Saiyan 4 would finally make him equal to, or stronger than, Goku but now that confidence was crumbling.
"Damn it! First Kakarot surpasses me, and now this one does too…" he muttered through clenched teeth.
"Lin Hao! Can you show us your full power? I really want to see just how huge the difference between us is!" Goku asked eagerly, eyes gleaming.
"Oh? My full power? Are you sure you want to know?" Lin Hao smiled faintly.
"Uh-huh!" Goku nodded, his face full of anticipation, while Vegeta crossed his arms with his usual proud smirk.
"Alright then," Lin Hao said calmly. "Let me show you everything I've got. Don't be too shocked when you see it."
At that moment, on the edge of the Sacred World of the Kai
"Ancestor, the battle's over," Kibito Kai sighed in relief. "At least now the realm won't be destroyed."
"Really, can't these mortals ever respect the gods?" the Old Supreme Kai groaned. "Every time they come here, they wreck the place! It's a miracle the Sacred World is even this durable…"
"Haha, ancestor, it can't be helped," Kibito Kai replied. "If they fought on Earth, the planet would've been obliterated."
"You fool! There are countless empty worlds in the galaxy—why must they always choose this one?!" the Old Kai shouted, bonking Kibito Kai on the head.
"...Ow."
"Haaah!!"
Lin Hao's roar split the air as his golden aura erupted outward in violent waves.
His Super Saiyan 4 ki began to surge uncontrollably, an overwhelming power building from deep within.
"Rumble…"
The entire Sacred World of the Kai quaked violently; lightning flashed across the sky while the ground cracked apart like a broken mirror.
"Susususu…"
With every low growl, golden flames spiraled upward, twisting into colossal dragon-shaped bursts of ki that coiled around him and tore outward into the heavens.
"Such… such terrifying energy!!"
Goku and Vegeta stared in awe at the blinding light spreading across the realm.
Neither of them had ever felt anything like it before the entire dimension was being swallowed by Lin Hao's expanding aura.
"Haaaah!!"
Lin Hao roared again as his Super Saiyan 4 form began to evolve.
His black hair brightened and lengthened, turning a gleaming silver that flowed down to his waist.
The crimson fur covering his body shifted to metallic gray, and his red eyes transformed into piercing violet irises.
A silver-white tail whipped behind him, and a lock of shining bangs fluttered gently before his brow.
Before their eyes, Lin Hao's Super Saiyan 5 form manifested for the very first time—its divine aura unlike anything Goku or Vegeta had ever seen.
