Cyrus stood in front of the shattered gate, waiting for any enemies to appear.
Inside that gate was a long corridor, with walls reaching the ceiling at both sides. On the walls were small window like openings, which Cyrus had no idea were arrow traps.
All Cyrus saw were small strings, fully taut, which went inside the small windows.
While Cyrus would most likely not be hurt even if he rushed in, he still waited for Cecil to give instructions.
A Belid floated around Cyrus, spinning in the air. The three weapons sat quietly on Cyrus' neck.
After some time, Cecil also reached the shattered gate, and he immediately saw how deflated the three daggers looked.
"Alright, let's go ahead."
He could deal with that later too.
Cecil grabbed Green Guardian, who expanded to it's full size, and let it go ahead to scout.
Green Gaurdian cut all strings, triggering the traps, emptying the entire chamber of the arrow traps, and after a bit more of checking, Cecil personally walked through the tunnel.
On the other side was what appeared to be a raised platform, possibly a parade ground if judged by the size.
Beside the tunnel through which Cecil entered was another tunnel, and on the other side was an open gate.
Maybe the gate was already open, or one of the random levers he had pulled before opened this one deep inside.
Cecil looked around. Apart from the parade ground, there were quite a few buildings. They were old too, and looked sealed shut, unlike the disarrayed ones he had dealt with just now.
As he tried to make sense of that, he tried to find similarities to Breach Leaks on Earth. There was a Breach Leak in a certain Mesopotamian ruins once, where alien adventurers spawned in it, and more or less destroyed the historical remains of the city entirely.
The humans had no idea that there was an undiscovered Mesopotamian ruin until the Breach Leak was detected, and a part of history was lost.
He kind of thought that this place might be similar to that, and that he might be destroying someone else's history.
"Cyrus, break this building."
ROAARR
The door of this building mysteriously collapsed.

"That's all."
Sia finished telling recent events to Niji, the king of Arachnoforms, who was just sitting idly on the ledge of the highest point of Silom.
"That's good enough. Now, I would like to give you a new task."
Niji tapped the ground once, and no sound came out. He tapped it again, and like ventriloquism, the sound came from behind Sia.
"Ignore those two specially abled kids."
Sia was fairly certain that Niji knew that the intended use for that phrase was different, but she was not going to contradict Him.
"The Marble Spiders are already settled, right?"
"Yes, King."
"Loan a couple of them under my name, and search the new Stepwell that spawned in the Marble Flatlands and any places near Arachnoform Territory for traces."
Niji stood up soundlessly, and a small, rectangular stone plate appeared on his hand.
"If the traces don't match anything on this, it means that the foreign adventurer party is here."
Sia felt a bit of dread. The marble spiders were really scary in her opinion. Especially the vice leader with gauntlets, who glared at her menacingly every time she looked at her.
"Can I...?"
"Talk to them yourself."
Niji was trying to develop her interpersonal skills, apparently.

As the Scorching Pearl Squadron entered the Javelin Forest, they immediately detected. A group of Arachnoforms waiting for them.
The Leader put away both his sabers, and walked ahead.
He suddenly turned around, and saw the group of Sleavers also appear from a different direction.
"These guys are like the tentacle things you girls read."
The Scorching Pearl Squadron leader said to the Vice Leader, who shamelessly stood at attention.
"Shouldn't you be embarrassed saying that out loud in public?"
The Vice leader took out a second pair of larger Gauntlets and wore them over her original pair.
"What I was trying to say was that we should try to not talk to them unless they start the conversation. I don't like them."
The leader said, as he looked at the leading Sleaver.
The leading Sleaver on that side had a rather thin longsword, with the Cross having a Verdant Green Core. Nobody had any idea how Sleavers differentiated Male and Female, but the Scorching Pearl Squadron leader assumed the Sleaver to be female.
Leading the Arachnoforms was a Red Arachnoform with Black Patterns, and quite a Few arrows visible on his body. The first Elder, 6 Slaughter Tarantula.
The Arachnoform group split into 3, and the two groups, neither of which had the First Elder, approached the Sleavers and Marble Spiders.
Simultaneously, the Sleavers were also badmouthing the Marble Spiders.
"Listen up, NO. BODY. And I mean, NO. BODY. talk to these white guys."
The Sleaver directly standing behind the leader commanded everyone else.
That was Teng Sage, the second in command by strength of the Sleavers.
Teng's sword was similar to the one held by the leader, except it was more normal sized, and it looked like there were several chips in the blade on one edge.
The no nonsense, and core reason the Sleavers were here because there had been a small divination incident in the Jeju island, and for once, it didn't point to the Demon Sealing Grounds.
Instead, it seemed to be telling them to go to the Marble Flatlands. Unfortunately, the higher management of the Combat Force stalled for a reason, and now, there has been a commotion, and everyone knows about it.
Teng did feel a surge of anger. If the higher management had decided to rush without reason, there was a good chance that they could have been the first ones to enter and retrieve whatever was indicated inside the place.

The buildings did have quite a few Silk Snakes. However, they did not pose much of a threat to Cecil anymore.
Cecil also managed to invent a new... thing.
"Belid Armor."
Cecil called out, and a bunch of Belids flew towards him, and covered him from head to toe, forming a literal set of Armor.
The Belids however, did not touch Cecil. This made Cecil look larger than he was, and he wondered for a while if this is what the rank 1 of his class looked like at age 8.
