Chapter 2 - 2

Professor Eclessia led(dragged) Cecil to the combat dome. Cecil was not a regular here, because... Well.

The dome has a white and Cyan color scheme, like literally everything else in the academy. Cecil had always wondered why people don't complain about their eyes burning.

The floor was about 30 meters long and 20 meters wide, and filled deeply with sand. Cecil might have felt trigger happy, or just curious but...

"", he said, pointing at the sand.

[Sand(30x20x10), Lv15

Sentience-none

Cost- 1 Mp per Cu Meter

Suggestion-At current Mana level, only a cube of side 4 meters can be animated, but the user will faint.

"Ironically the best advice I've heard all day." Cecil muttered, and, ""

A cube of sand floated up, and Cecil felt that he was falling backwards for a moment, and Professor Eclessia looked fairly impressed.

"Velhana. How much Mo do you have left?"

"1 Mp professor."

Cecil sounded disappointed, his skill was very good, it even had a name that he would like to live up to, but...

"Your pitiful mana reserves are a problem. We have potions to increase Mana Capacity, but I would not recommend them.", Professor Eclessia began, and walked towards the lines of training dummies,

"One portion wouldn't hurt, but using more than one can cause poisoning of your mana reserve, or an overdose."

Professor Eclessia pointed at the dummy nearest to her.

"Tell the Haematite to orbit the dummy and strike after a few rotations."

Cecil's Chunk of Haematite and cube of sand were floating around him the entire time, and kind of looked wierd.

"Haematite, Do three revolutions, strike from behind. Sand, transform into a spear and attack from the front with Haematite."

Cecil was feeling weak and slightly dizzy, and gave a few extra commands in his stupor.

The chunk of Haematite revolved around the Dummy very quickly, the sand on the other hand just floated in front of the dummy, transformed into a spear.

And suddenly!

"Ow my fucking eyes!"

Cecil was standing about a meter away from the dummy, and the sand spear didn't do shit except disintegrate into sand.

The dummy's spine was bent slightly by the Haematite's impact and Eclessia was impressed.

"Velhana. That was impressive. Try commanding it something like 'Strike the weak point' or something more tactical."

Cecil's eyes looked bloodshot. If a liter of sand hit your eyes, you'd probably be the same. But Cecil rubbed his eyes a few times more and started again.

"Haematite, Strike the dummy's weak point, "

Cecil was expecting a refund of Mana for unanimating the sand, and felt like an idiot when he didn't, but on the bright side...

A Dummy was split into two by the Haematite, and Eclessia looked like she was satisfied.

"This skill is truly unique. I have never seen a skill that focuses on controlling objects other than dead bodies."

She stepped closer to the floating Haematite, and grabbed it.

"Velhana. If you feel anything, scream. "

A Cobalt Blue Spear formed in her hand, and she slammed it into the Haematite. The Haematite shattered into chunks, and flew outwards, before gathering in one place. The chunk looked clearly shattered, but the shape was still maintained.

"I felt nothing at all professor.", Cecil reported. He was expecting something. Not sure what, but he expecting some sort of pain or response to his animated object being destroyed, but there was nothing.

Eclessia meanwhile, was surprised. This was not normal. Any type of summoning skill gives some sort of feedback if a summon is killed or damaged. Maybe it's because the summoned thing is, literally, a thing.

What was she supposed to classify this skill as? The paperwork is going to be somewhat nightmarish.

"Back to the Alchemy Lab Velhana."

She spoke and turned around, Cecil following behind her, scanning everything like a child at a fair. Minus the pestering.

—————

They were back at the Alchemy Lab, and Cecil scanned a vial Professor Eclessia was holding.

[Point your finger at the target]

Cecil pointed his finger at the Vial, except...

What the fuck?

No!

Dude!

That's literally Necromancy with extra steps!

The Vatican will literally Crucify him publically.

He's definitely not telling Professor Eclessia, or anyone, for that matter.

"What are you standing still for?"

Professor Eclessia's sharp voice shook him up.

"This is a G rank Mana Pool deepening potion. It should increase your Max Mp by 40 to 70 points. Drink up"

The Vial had a cyanish liquid inside. It looked Slightly viscous, but Cecil scanned it just to be safe.

[Mana Pool Deepening Potion, Rank G

Sentience-none

Cost-50 Mp

Suggestion-There is no real point in animating this potion, unless it is to be poisoned or rigged. Drinking it would grant an extra 40 to 70 increase in Mp

"Here goes...", Cecil Gulped the entire potion down immediately. It was barely a test tube to begin with, and he felt very, very refreshed.

"It worked. It worked professor!", Cecil's voice cracked slightly. He wanted to say something else, but he could not. All that left his throat, was a small 'Thank you'. Is this the turning point in his life? Finally a Binder. A skill that is ridiculously strong and versatile and—

"Hold your horses Velhana. Go to your forms. Do not tell anyone about your skill.", Eclessia cut his celebratory thoughts down. "The first thing you will do tomorrow morning after leaving your room, is reporting to me. Understood?"

Cecil was not sure why she would want him to hide his skill, but he had read enough Wuxia to know that it cannot be good, but on the other hand, how bad can it be?

"I understand professor, I'll be leaving now, Thank you again."

And with that, he ran off.

The difference between Spd stat being at 0 and 1 was noticable, and Cecil liked running faster than he had ever before.

Until he laid down on the bed.

"Shit. My pending History Essay."
