Chapter 43 - The First Light Awakens

The sky had forgotten how to be dark.It burned, white and endless, as though reality itself was being peeled apart layer by layer. From every horizon, the same sight unfolded — a colossal rift stretching beyond stars, pulsing with the rhythm of a living heart.

In the command tower of New Asgard, Thor and Wonder Woman stood before the glowing portal suspended above the sea."It's not just energy," Thor murmured. "It's consciousness."

Doctor Strange's cloak stirred as he appeared through a portal. "The Prime Eternal is summoning the First Light — the origin of all their kind. If it crosses through, every universe will collapse into a single eternal thought. No time, no matter… just divine stillness."

Iron Man's voice crackled through the comms. "So basically, cosmic suicide. Great."

Far above, in the heart of the storm, the Prime Eternal floated within a halo of blinding light. His armor cracked, revealing veins of pure creation beneath. He was no longer a god — he was the doorway to something far older.

"Return, Origin," he whispered. "Your children have forgotten their perfection."

The void answered. A voice — vast, gentle, merciless — whispered through every atom of existence.

"I never left. You are the dream… and the dream is ending."

Stars dimmed. Gravity faltered. Mountains wept dust as the First Light began to seep into the mortal realm.

On the ground, the alliance scrambled. Cyborg's systems overloaded from the surge. "The energy readings are rewriting my code! It's like the laws of physics are… updating."

Aurin, barely standing, raised his trembling hand. "He's opening the Source Vein. It connects every Eternal mind. If it fully awakens, we'll all be erased — even me."

Batman's voice was calm, deliberate. "Then we close it."

"How?" asked Stark.

Superman looked upward, eyes flaring crimson. "By reminding it that we exist."

Strange and Fate exchanged glances — and nodded. "A counter-resonance," Strange said. "If humanity's emotions fractured the Eternals' unity, then maybe their collective will can oppose the First Light."

Wonder Woman's eyes glowed with divine fire. "Then we gather them — every heart, every soul left on this world."

In the streets of Omega Earth, across the ruins and wastelands, people began to rise. The weak, the wounded, the hopeless — each one lifted their gaze as the light grew. The Human Core pulsed again, connected to every living being.

The Prime Eternal felt it. He trembled — not with rage, but with fear.

"They defy the origin itself…"

Aurin looked to the sky and whispered, "Yes. Because they were never meant to be perfect — only real."

And in that moment, as the First Light poured into the world, the impossible happened — the glow flickered.

The divine consciousness hesitated.

The dream, for the first time in eternity, remembered waking up.

The battle for the soul of existence had begun.
