Chapter 41 - Fracture of the Eternals

The skies above Omega Earth split apart like wounded light.Columns of divine energy flared as if the heavens themselves were at war.

At the heart of the storm, the Eternal Citadel descended — no longer serene, but torn by chaos. Kael, the Flame of Origin, stood on the edge of its golden bridge, his fire dimmed to a trembling ember. Lyra stood beside him, cloak of starlight billowing in the solar winds.

"Are you certain?" she asked softly."No," Kael answered, voice heavy. "But I'd rather burn for truth than live for silence."

Behind them, Zareth approached, his chronos blade humming with distorted time. "The Prime Eternal has declared you traitors. He's assembling the Judgment Host."

Kael's flames flared brighter. "Then let him come. Let him see what it means to doubt."

Far below, on Omega Earth, the heroes prepared.Superman hovered over the ruined city, scanning the storm above. Batman coordinated ground units with Iron Man through a scrambled comm-link.

Cyborg's eyes glowed as data cascaded through his systems. "Energy signatures off the charts — that's not an attack, that's… mutiny."Doctor Strange smirked faintly. "Even gods can't survive a civil war."

Wonder Woman tightened her grip on her blade. "Then our time is now."

Lightning carved across the horizon as the Judgment Host descended — twenty Eternals armed with radiant weapons, each one a being capable of unmaking galaxies. At their center, the Prime Eternal radiated fury.

"Kael of the Flame. Lyra of Memory. You have embraced weakness. You will be erased."

Kael raised his flaming spear, eyes burning with defiance. "Weakness gave them strength. Fear made them fight. Love made them rise. You call them lesser — but they endure what we cannot."

The first clash was cataclysmic.Fire met cosmic steel. Sound vanished. Light bled.

Lyra's starlight shield shattered under the blow of the Eternal Aurin. Kael's flames exploded outward, igniting the bridge in a storm of gold and crimson. Zareth froze time for a heartbeat, letting Lyra breathe before fate resumed its course.

From the Earth below, the heroes watched the sky erupt in divine fire.Thor clenched Mjölnir. "By the storms… they're turning against themselves.""Let them," Batman said. "Every second they fight is one we live."

But Superman's gaze darkened. "This isn't victory. It's the beginning of something worse."

In the burning Citadel, Kael struck down an Eternal with a blast that tore reality itself. As he fell to one knee, Lyra caught him — light fading from her eyes. "They'll never stop…" she whispered.

Kael looked toward the void, defiance unbroken. "Then neither will we."

Behind them, a ripple of power spread — not destruction, but transformation.

The Flame of Origin was no longer a weapon. It had become a spark of rebellion.

And across the stars, the first whispers began —

"The gods bleed."
