It's been a week since the attack on the city. The results of the monsters wrath still evident on the city's grounds.
And although repairs and recoupings were happening, the population was decreasing rapidly as the city had been tagged A "Danger zone" and un officially a place unfit for human growth.
The attack had taken that much of a toll on the People's lives that the normal humans weren't able to distinguish between real and unreal anymore. It was like a fantasy sprunged to life on thier grounds and not just any fantasy, it was a Dark fantasy for that matter, for what they saw on that day was only to be heard of in stories.
Joining the remaining populace in recouparating the city was the ominous trio; Lisa, Sophia and Amir. They were helping in repairs around the city, using magic in places where it could be applied.
One day, during thier many toils of unemployed labour, they got a visit from the Queen's Imperial army. Numerous men dressed in iron amour, with a helmet above thier head, they held the Queen's sigl and banner high to drag attention to it and also to ward off any one who had an idea of trying anything stupid.
'Are you The saviour of the Albans?' said the upfront man, who seemed to also be the leader of the squad. They were talking to a dishelved sophia who was busy moving rocks for the rebuilding of an old woman's house.
She paused on her tracks, looked at him and simply nodded.
'I heard you had help, if the rumors were true where are they?' the man asked, but Sophia stood clueless as to what the man was saying, because quite frankly she was still having difficulty with understanding English.
She stood nodding ,as if someone was whispering answers to her. after a while she heaved, finally understanding what he said she whitsled calling on the others.
In an instant, they were there as soon as the last sound of thier names dropped. They arrived with a gust of wind, moving at incredible speed. The soilders held onto thier helmets, the wind had threatened to knock it over.
'Such incredible power....we will need this in the royal capital..we have never had magicians like you three before..' the man rambled on but Lisa had enough as her eyes were twitching uncontrollably, for some reason she hated Soldiers especially ones from the Queen's guard.
She raised her hand, signalling him to stop his chatter and unwanted flattery, because not one of the three of them found it amusing.
'What does the Queen want with us?' she asked aggressively.
'Oh, sorry for my manners' the man said giggling, but was met with nothing but a feigned smile from Sophia.
He raised his hand, a younger soilder marched out and handed him a scroll. He opened the letter, rolled out the sheet of paper and read:
"BY THE REQUEST OF HER MAJESTY, THE QUEEN, ELIZABETH THE FIRST, THE GROUP OF MAGICIANS KNOWN AS THE SAVIOUR OF ALBANS ARE PLEADED TO BE IN ATTENDANCE AT THE ROYAL CAPITAL IN THE QUEEN'S PALACE AT ONCE"
He finished and rolled the paper handing it back to the young soldier, who bowed and marched backwards to his position.
'So what do you guys think?' the man asked and Amir exchanged glances with Lisa. Sophia saw this and pouted, it was really hard to keep up on the gospips.
'What's the pay?' asked Amir sternly, gazing at the man.
'The pay?' he asked, impressed that they caught on to his scheme.
'Yes, the pay' Amir replied doubling down on his statement.
'Surely, the Queen isn't calling us to hand out medals there must be something she wants' Lisa added.
'Eh... The pay and task will be revealed once you convey at the Capitol' the man replied.
The three moved a few steps back and formed a circle, whispering suggestions to each other in hushed tones after a few minutes they straightened up and Amir came foward to confront the man with thier final decision.
'Is there a carriage or anything ready for our movement now?' Amir asked and the soldiers beamed, it was a victory on thier side.
'Yes!' he yelled almost immediately, 'Eh- if you will come this place please' he said and he led the way to the royal carriage, they were off to meet the Queen.
*************************************************
They were finally on the royal city's grounds, it was a three days journey and Sophia was specifically thankful for this because she had a sever case of motion sickness all throughout the journey, the carriage wasn't an ideal way of travelling for her. She had once asked them why they simply didn't just teleport to the capital but neither Lisa nor Amir had the answers for that.
In no time they were at the Buckingham palace prepping themselves to meet the queen, the trio were taken to the quarters and were made to clean up and dress properly for the occasion.
'Literally, what's the point?' Lisa asked as she stared at herself on the mirror, examining the dress she was made to wear, it was a crimson gown, fitted to her shape..her hair was propped up into a bun and was decorated with a flower for adornment. She looked beautiful but she couldn't appreciate it ..not with the impending doom on the world.
'I kinda like it' Sophia said as she giggled staring at herself, she was wearing an almond gown and her hair was tied up into a ponytail.
The door opened, it was Amir dressed in a suit, he signalled them to come out and they did.
'It's time' he said and they both nodded, following his lead to the Queen's court for thier meeting with her majesty.
