"My name is Ren"
A boy not even at the age of an adult held a spear tightly in his hands at the sight of an Unnatural Aberration screaming for God's might to come end its twisted suffering.
"I don't know why I have this power."
Even chewed into thousands of little bits in the belly of an ungodly being, a boy with grey hair was ripped away from the embrace of death and was shoved right into the maw of his killers.
"I don't know how I keep on struggling."
Falling into the infinite depths of the abyss where even the Gods cannot escape, the green eyed boy continues to get ripped from the hands of death, his heart long having stopped its beating.
"I don't know what I have become"
Devouring even the things that shouldn't be devoured, ripping apart the things that can't be ripped apart, constant death of the flesh forced the short boy to adapt to the new world around him
"I don't know when I fell in here"
Awakening from the depths once more at the price of time, time that had been taken from him ever since he first appeared, the more he stayed still, the more he stagnated, and the Abyss loved stagnation.
"I don't know where the way out of this place is."
Every path that he walked became the last path that he was ever able to take, guardians of the deadliest kind being the only things that can survive in this place of endless stagnation meeting his singular eye.
"I just know that I want to kill the beings responsible for this."
Ripping the knife out of his leg, Ren adjusted his eye patch and cloak, the imprint on the knife was the only clue that he had on who had caused his death.
In the shape of a black anchor with an eye on its end, the symbol of his tormentors was engraved harshly into his mind as he locked eyes with his captor.
"This is the life after my hundred and first death"
Green eyes glimmering in the dark as a grotesque form revealed itself from within the inky abyss, their jaw opened as their teeth clattered against each other noisily while they wrapped around a bloody bleeding heart.
Listening to the loud thumps made of blood ring in his ears, Ren grunted and held the Knife against his chest defensively,
"In my first fifty deaths, I thought that this was an unending nightmare..."
Ren slinked into the darkness, instinctively twisting his body in such a way that he merged with it.
Creature growl screeching, Ren's voice echoed within the dark confines of where they were. The creature hurriedly twisting and turning in an attempt to catch sight of Ren.
"But after fifty more deaths. I think it's a gift."
Ren's green eyes glimmered from above the monster.
"You may win as many times as you want, but I only need to win once."
The creature spotted Ren with what remained of their eyes, their multiple jointed mandibles clicking together as they lunged at him.
"Let's see who breaks first yeah?"
Staring madly at the face of his killer, Ren twisted the blade deep into its neck, his body being torn into bloody ribbons as laughter bubbled out of his chest the same way blood did.
"This is your Unending Nightmare now."
