Seeing Nobita's confident and smiling face, Shizuka thought that he had finally matured, so she smiled and encouraged him.

After receiving Shizuka's encouragement, the smile on Nobita's face became even brighter.

Little did he know that it was because of his clownish mentality that he always ended up making a mess of things, and in the end, it was always him who got the short end of the stick.
This isn't to say that I want to simply put Nobita down.
Although Nobita has countless flaws, sometimes he can still be quite reliable.
And his kind and simple-minded nature, his tendency to trust others, is also one of Nobita's few virtues.
Overall, in terms of family background, he couldn't compare to the rich kid Suneo; in terms of physical fitness, he couldn't compare to the strong-as-an-ox Takeshi; in terms of academic performance and personal cultivation, he couldn't compare to the gentle and elegant Dekisugi.
If Nobita didn't have Doraemon's help, then he would most likely just be an ordinary member of the masses.
Perhaps because they were classmates, he would still become relatively good friends with Takeshi, Suneo, and the others.
But without Doraemon's help, Nobita's chances of marrying the beautiful and wealthy Shizuka were probably no easier than getting him to score a perfect 100 on every exam!
Of course, that was just a hypothetical situation.
The fact that Nobita had Doraemon's help was already a given.
So even if he was a good-for-nothing, Doraemon was still there to back him up and clean up his messes.
Isn't that precisely why everyone envied Nobita during their childhood?
