Headmistress Orla stood in the middle of the wrecked dormitory room, her hands clasped behind her back, her expression unreadable. Rachel's heart pounded as she stood before her, trembling, Elios lingering nervously at her side. Broken shelves, torn clothes, scattered books, smashed frames—every corner of the room bore the imprint of a supernatural burst of power.
Orla looked at Rachel before finally addressing her. Her tone was cool, measured and final.
"Rachel Voss," the headmistress said. "You will clean every inch of this room. Every damaged item, every broken scrap, every displaced thing—you will restore it to order."
Rachel swallowed hard.
"Headmistress, I—"
"You will also proceed to wherever you take Mia's belongings to," Orla continued, ignoring her attempt at explanation, "and retrieve them. All of them."
Eliose gasped quietly beside her. Rachel's stomach knotted.
