Chapter 151 - Chapter 151: Dvalin, Who Can't Breathe Fire

On the enormous platform, Dvalin extended a Dragon Claw, allowing Lanssangx to trim and scrape at it.

Lanssangx stood on two feet, her body leaning forward. One Dragon Claw held Dvalin's claw, while the other wielded Dragon-specific nail clippers, meticulously trimming Dvalin's claws, which hadn't been cared for in centuries.

As for why she was leaning forward, it was because Dvalin couldn't stand up. If Lanssangx didn't lean forward, she would have to lift him to make him stand.

Although it looked a bit strange, it was effortless for Lanssangx. Was an Ancient Dragon's core strength something to joke about?

She could lie directly on the ground without using her forelimbs to stand—there were only a few Dragons in the entire Dragon race who could do that!

Lanssangx's Dragon fingers moved deftly, and from time to time, debris and dead skin fell from Dvalin's claws.

Her Dragon fingers, each as long as a person's arm, were surprisingly no less flexible than a human's!

"Click!" With the sound of the clippers closing, the last bit of excess on Dvalin's Dragon Claw was removed.

"How is it? My craftsmanship is pretty good, isn't it?" Lanssangx looked at Dvalin's clean and tidy Dragon Claws, saying with undeniable pride.

"Tha… thank you." Dvalin raised his hand and looked at his Dragon Claws. The scratches on the scales were polished away, and the broken claws were sharpened again under Lanssangx's trimming.

This reminded him of the past, when lighthearted zither music made him forget his worries, and the ceaseless flowing wind brushed away his dust. He was a free Wind Spirit, and the vast Sky was his Domain, allowing him to roam freely.

However, all of that was in the past now. He was no longer the carefree Wind Spirit, but the Demonic Dragon who caused the Dragon Scourge.

"Hmph!" Thinking of this, the forgotten pain began to return from his back, causing Dvalin to let out a muffled groan.

Lanssangx saw the clumps on Dvalin's back, which flickered with an eerie purple light. She extended her pure white Dragon Claw, wanting to pry them off.

Dvalin's peripheral vision caught Lanssangx's movement. He immediately retreated in a panic, shouting excitedly, "Don't touch that!"

"What's wrong? You look like you're in a lot of pain?" Lanssangx tilted her head. Since this thing caused him pain, wouldn't it be fine to just remove it?

"This is…" Dvalin paused, then said, "This is just an illness, an old one. Don't worry about it."

"Yes, this is just an illness, and nothing more." Dvalin silently emphasized in his heart.

He had been entangled with it for five hundred years. Originally, upon waking this time, he wanted to completely resolve this pain. But now, it seemed he could be entangled for another five hundred years.

"Don't worry about this; it's a small matter. This, is it from your bodies?" A slightly distorted speck of light appeared in Dvalin's Dragon Claw—it was an ancient dragon smithing stone!

"Hmm? How do you have this?" Lanssangx was very surprised when she saw the scale in Dvalin's hand. She hadn't expected Dvalin to have a scale from the Dragon King.

"A… peculiar fellow gave it to me." Dvalin recalled that he had suddenly found this scale beneath him.

In his knowledge, besides Barbatos, only Yu Jin had such means.

"Alright." Lanssangx nodded after hearing this. It was Yu Jin, no doubt. She then looked at the scale and explained:

"This one in your hand is a scale from our Dragon King; only his scales are so special. Our scales aren't that powerful."

"Dragon King?" Dvalin was stunned for a moment, then he remembered the five-headed creature he had seen earlier. That oppressive feeling must have been the Dragon King.

"Yes, our Dragon King." Lanssangx affirmed again. In the past, the Dragon King's scales were very rare. Now… they were still very rare.

After all, he was the only Dragon who had reached that realm. No matter how much he was 'sheared,' the scales produced were still incredibly scarce compared to the demand.

Poor Dragon King, his scales were all plucked bare. But who told him to be the Dragon King? A whole bunch of Dragons in the Dragon race were opening their mouths to him for sustenance.

If not him, then who would they 'shear'?

"We…" Dvalin's eyes darkened involuntarily when he heard Lanssangx's words. He looked at his and Lanssangx's vastly different structures, understanding in his heart.

He and Lanssangx were, after all, different.

"No? Why are you wilting? Are you having a flare-up?" Lanssangx saw Dvalin looking listless and reached out to tap his head.

"It's nothing." Dvalin took a deep breath. No matter what, he was happy to see Lanssangx.

"I know what you're thinking, don't worry! I treat you as one of my own!" Lanssangx instantly saw through Dvalin's thoughts. She patted Dvalin's shoulder, looking like a big sister.

"Look at you, you're clearly a Dragon! So you are a Dragon!" Lanssangx looked at the Dragon horns on Dvalin's head and the four wings on his back, then asked, "Can you summon lightning?"

With that, jumping red lightning snakes appeared around Lanssangx. The power contained within them made Dvalin somewhat shocked.

That wasn't element power, but a power he had never seen before. To reach such a powerful degree without relying on element power was something Dvalin was seeing for the first time.

The difference between him and Lanssangx grew even larger.

Dvalin shook his head, casting away these irrelevant thoughts. He pondered for a moment, then said with some uncertainty, "I can barely make it rain."

As long as he used the wind to gather the clouds, he could form a shower. This was an experience Dvalin had idly figured out when he was bored.

"That… that's very good!" Lanssangx paused, then praised Dvalin. Thunder and rain go hand in hand. Dvalin could barely be considered an Ancient Dragon!

"Then can you turn into a human?" Lanssangx transformed into swirling specks of light, and then a woman emerged from the light.

Lanssangx twirled around, holding her skirt, all to give Dvalin a more comprehensive understanding of the Ancient Dragon race's human form.

However, Dvalin clearly hadn't considered this. He subtly swallowed, pretending to ask nonchalantly, "You're a female?"

"Of course, didn't I say so when we shook hands? Your act of directly extending your claw was impolite. Luckily it was me, otherwise, any other female Dragon would surely have beaten you up." Again, a shower of light specks, and Lanssangx's Dragon form reappeared before Dvalin.

This time, Dvalin looked at Lanssangx with even more restraint. Before, he hadn't paid attention to Lanssangx's gender, focusing all his attention on her identity as a 'Dragon.'

Now, realizing it, Dvalin looked at Lanssangx again and felt she was incredibly beautiful.

Lanssangx couldn't help but find Dvalin's small glances amusing. Was this his first time seeing a girl after being single for so many years?

"You still haven't said whether you can transform into a human form?" Lanssangx saw Dvalin occasionally stealing glances at her, even forgetting the question, so she reminded him.

"This… I can't." Dvalin stammered a bit this time. But he quickly explained to Lanssangx, "I definitely will in the future! Right now, my strength isn't strong enough, but I'll definitely be able to once I get stronger!"

The reason Dvalin was so certain was because his body was telling him that he still had a lot of room for improvement, and a human form would naturally come with increased strength.

"Really?" Lanssangx flapped her wings. Will he transform into a human in the future? The evidence that Dvalin was an Ancient Dragon became even more sufficient!

If the Ancient Dragon race knew that their title was so easily given out by their High Priest, they would not know what to think.

"Fire breath! You must be able to do that!" Lanssangx said, then lowered her head, and a massive pillar of fire erupted from her Dragon mouth.

They continuously expanded and spread, eventually forming a fan-shaped sea of fire. The fire waves were both scorching and powerful; even the strong winds in the Domain couldn't disrupt the pattern of the sea of fire.

Facing an Ancient Dragon's flames, simply resisting fire was useless. The immense power contained within the Ancient Dragon's flames was enough to blast away anything in its path!

Dvalin watched the surging flames in silence for a long time, then a rare expression of grievance appeared on his Dragon face.

"I'm sorry, I really can't do that."
