Chapter 66 - Chapter 66 The Tenacious Abyss Herald

"This is...?" Bennett stared at the Sword in his hand, which was surging with flames, his eyes filled with shock.

Pyro element attachment? This only happened when he activated his Vision before! But what about now?

Bennett swung his Sword, and there was no agitation from Pyro element flowing through his body. Yet, the flames still burned fiercely, showing no signs of extinguishing.

"Clap, clap, clap!" Yu Jin walked over, clapping his hands. He patted Bennett's head and said with a look of relief:

"Kid, all six Constellations are lit up. My painstaking efforts weren't in vain."

"Senior..." Bennett was so overwhelmed with gratitude that he became incoherent. He wanted to say something, but Yu Jin stopped him.

"Haha, alright, it's never too late for thanks. You two should retreat now. That guy, you're no match for him!"

After patting his head for a while, Yu Jin pulled Bennett behind him. A fully powered-up Abyss Herald would be very difficult for the current Bennett and Fischl to defeat.

"Senior, be careful!"

"Flames of Guilt, I expect you to burn away the evil opposite!"

Bennett and Fischl didn't decline and quickly ran to a distance. They also understood that they were no match for the Abyss Herald. Staying by Yu Jin's side would only be a burden.

"Not bad, a great power!" Yu Jin looked at Ji Liu, who was glowing with a faint blue light all over, and praised him slightly.

To be able to combine the Abyss power and element power within his body into an elemental armor covering his entire body, his control over the Abyss was worth mentioning.

"Let me warn you first, this isn't a sparring match. So, after three strikes, you will die!" Yu Jin warned Ji Liu in the distance.

"Boastful!" Ji Liu didn't care. Although Yu Jin was powerful, the Abyss Order gave him immense confidence.

At this moment, Ji Liu had overcome the previous limitation of only being able to summon water blades with one hand. His arms flashed with blue light, and two water blades, extending from his arms down to his knees, appeared.

"Die!" Ji Liu pushed off with his legs and arrived beside Yu Jin in an instant. He raised his water blades high, crossing his arms, and slashed down at Yu Jin.

"Clang! Clang!" Yu Jin, for the first time in a long while, raised his shield. The powerful and elemental water blades struck the brass shield, leaving no marks.

"First strike." Yu Jin glanced at him, then exerted force with the arm holding the shield, pushing him back.

A huge force came from his arm, causing Ji Liu to stumble back several steps.

"Terrifying power!" Ji Liu leaped backward, marveling silently. It was wise to keep his distance from someone who clearly specialized in close-quarters combat.

Then, the blue light on his arms intensified. The two water blades crossed and swung, creating a "cross" shaped blue light wave.

Yu Jin switched to holding the shield with both hands and charged forward. Each of his steps dug deeply into the ground, appearing heavy and resilient.

Shield Charge — A combat skill that involves bracing the shield and defending while using one's entire body weight to charge forward. When used against weaker enemies, it can make them lose balance.

"Bang!" The solid light wave collided with Yu Jin, shattering like glass. The water, purified by the Abyss, splashed onto his body.

Yu Jin sensed it. This water was different from other water; it could actually hinder the flow of elemental power.

If someone with a Vision were hit by this, it would probably be difficult for them to use their elemental power again.

"That was the second strike. Let me remind you again, next time will be your death." Yu Jin felt he had been utterly benevolent. A normal person should understand the difference in strength by now, right?

Unfortunately, the opponent was not normal. Ji Liu still wouldn't give up. His arms began to swing rhythmically, and the Abyss power deeply hidden within his body began to riot.

Under this ominous power, even the water began to turn black.

"Wave Blade Stream!" Huge blue-black light waves slashed towards Yu Jin, one after another, as if endless.

"I'm just saying, do you all like to shout out your skill names?" A slightly mocking voice came from behind Ji Liu.

He looked down and found that Yu Jin had already appeared behind him at some point, carrying a huge, rock-covered iron hammer.

Ledo's Great Hammer — The great hammer used by Silver Knight Ledo. Among the weapons used by the Knights of Anor Londo, its weight is unmatched.

Stone Sword — A combat skill known for its gravity-based moves. It involves striking the weapon into the ground, causing rocks to cling to it. It can increase ATK and easily make enemies lose balance.

"What?!" Before Ji Liu could react, he saw the rock-covered hammerhead, as large as his own body, smashing down towards him.

The Abyss Herald's elemental shield could defend against most attacks, with its defense against physical DMG being the highest.

But that was relative. When any kind of power reached its extreme, only power of the same level could defend against it.

Clearly, the Abyss Herald's elemental shield couldn't withstand Yu Jin's heavy weapon's light attack.

The huge hammerhead instantly shattered the water elemental shield on Ji Liu's body upon contact, and without losing momentum, it carried him down to the ground.

"Rumble!" The earth shattered! The entire Temple of the Thousand Winds trembled. Huge cracks began to spread, as if an earthquake had arrived.

Yu Jin usually didn't make a move, but when he did, he certainly intended to kill.

Bennett and Fischl in the distance rubbed their eyes, looking at the scene before them. Is there really such a strong person? They wondered if they were dreaming.

"Senior, so strong!"

"Is this the power that burns away evil? So amazing!"

"My lady speaks truly."

The eyes of the two people and one crow began to glow as they looked at Yu Jin. Yu Jin perfectly matched their fantasy of a Great Adventurer.

Powerful, friendly, righteous.

"Wow! You're not dead yet? Let me give you another hit." Yu Jin looked at Ji Liu, who was almost a puddle of blue-black sludge beneath him, and exclaimed.

Are Abyss Apostles all so tenacious? Then why the hell would the Doctor experiment with normal people? Wouldn't it be better to just capture Abyss Apostles?

Sure enough, they're just a bunch of useless people, wanting to explore higher levels of power but not daring to fight against higher levels.

"Cough..., threat..., must..., must be eliminated!" Ji Liu's eyes, as he looked at Yu Jin, held deep apprehension. He began to connect with deeper, more Abyss power.

His flesh and blood were disappearing, and in response, the aura of the Abyss began to spread from the depths.

"Buzz—" A familiar ringing in the ears sounded, and a spatial rift appeared in front of Yu Jin.

The power of the Abyss transformed into black and red tentacles, trying to drag him into the star-like spatial rift.

"Don't worry." Yu Jin instructed the Black Swords, letting the tentacles wrap around him.

"Are you sure?" Yu Jin stroked the black and red tentacles, smiling. Such cute little fellows.

"Thanks, though." But before they could react, Yu Jin jumped straight in. He had long been eager to see the Abyss of this world.

The spatial rift closed instantly after Yu Jin entered, and everything returned to peace.

Bennett and Fischl walked out from behind, trembling.

"What... what was that?" Bennett rubbed his sore eyes, saying with uncertainty and surprise.

"Evil, that must be the deepest evil." Fischl was not much different. Everything that just happened perfectly matched her fantasy of a world boss.

Chaos, madness, whispers (filtered by Yu Jin).

"Quick! Go back and find Acting Grand Master Jean! Report this to the Knights of Favonius!" Bennett suddenly came back to his senses. Such a terrifying thing appearing in Mondstadt must be reported.

"Hey, hey, hey~, wait." The spatial rift suddenly opened again, and Yu Jin poked his head out.

"Just a long trip, just a long trip. No need to trouble the Knights of Favonius with such a small matter." Yu Jin leaned one hand on the edge of the spatial rift, and with the other, he patted the heads of the two younger ones.

He was afraid that by the time he returned, everyone in the Knights of Favonius would be gone.

"Oh, and you two behave yourselves. If you do well, Senior will have a reward!" Yu Jin made a grand promise and then disappeared again.

"Gulp~, is Senior really an Adventurer?" Bennett said, dumbfounded. It seemed no Adventurer was this strong, right?

"One afflicted by misfortune, instead of worrying about the present, one should envision the secret treasures in the depths of the world!" Fischl's ability to accept such things was clearly higher than Bennett's.

"My lady means that, rather than being curious about his identity, she is more interested in Senior's gift." Oz added from the side.
