Chapter 160 - Chapter 160: Sirin’s “Reward”?

Vill-V didn't join the call at all. She just watched Kiana and, for the time being, reached a conclusion:

This was a humanoid paramecium. The kind that gives you the distinct impression it's… not very bright.

And honestly, that wasn't wrong.

Sure, she'd been through the Final Lesson and had grown from it, but how could someone's nature be that easy to change? When it was time to be a paramecium, she was still going to be a paramecium.

Vill-V knew Mei. She knew Mei was a genius.

So how was it that a genius like that could have a descendant who didn't inherit even a scrap of Mei's IQ?

But then again… if she thought about it, that was normal.

In an entire era, how many geniuses at their level could there possibly be? If geniuses were everywhere, they wouldn't be "geniuses"—they'd just be ordinary. Only comparison makes the word "genius" mean anything.

"Sirin, my little angel, you there?" Koji stared into Kiana's blue eyes, as if he could see someone else looking back.

"Little angel?"

Kiana looked utterly done with this. "…Seriously?" The Herrscher of the Void with that atrocious personality was not an angel.

"Human. What do you want?"

The next second, one of Kiana's eyes turned a dazzling, imposing gold.

Sirin temporarily took over the body.

Which meant it was Kiana's turn to go sit in solitary.

Kiana didn't fight for control. Lately, she and the Herrscher of the Void had been getting along fine. As long as the Herrscher didn't use her body to cause destruction, letting her borrow it for a bit was whatever.

Still, the syrupy nickname "little angel" was… not a comfortable fit, even for Sirin.

"Another person, huh?" Elysia leaned in to observe, her eyes full of interest. "This is really fun."

"Don't get that close. My… kind."

Sirin frowned. Elysia was practically about to press herself against her, so Sirin raised a barrier with spatial authority and blocked her.

Did this woman have any concept of personal space?

From Elysia, Sirin felt an aura that was familiar, yet unfamiliar—familiar because it was the aura of a Herrscher, unfamiliar because she'd never felt this kind before.

And Elysia was strong. Even a peak six-core Herrscher might not be her match.

"Hehe. Shy? You're adorable."

Elysia wasn't annoyed at being rejected. If anything, she got even more interested in Sirin.

This Herrscher inside Kiana was strange. In Elysia's eyes, Sirin was the real Herrscher.

So it wasn't just her—she wasn't the only Herrscher who could have humanity. Other Herrschers could have it too.

"Elysia, tone down the lesbian thirst," Koji said flatly.

"Don't say it like that. This is just how girls greet each other," Elysia corrected him.

"Sirin. Nice to meet you. Fate really was unfair to you. It took everything from you."

Koji's words—each and every one—hit Sirin right in the chest.

Yeah. She'd lost almost everything.

And finally, there was someone who understood.

"Human, you're interesting." Sirin smiled. "Want to be my servant? I can allow you to kiss the top of my foot."

This was a reward no one else could enjoy, you know~

Elysia and Vill-V watched with lively interest, eating the drama like it was popcorn.

So this was how wild the Herrschers played in the future?

Inside the "little black room," Kiana clenched her fist.

Her fist was hard.

Don't go making promises like that using this lady's body!

Just imagining the top of her foot being kissed by a guy made her whole body itch in the worst way.

"Let's not. No need for jokes like that." Koji's mouth twitched. This kind of "reward" really did make a person want to accept it.

"Not going to think it over?" Sirin wasn't surprised. If Koji agreed, that would be what shocked her.

"That's enough!"

Kiana took back control. She was scared Sirin would keep going and start dropping even more outrageous lines.

If you had your own body, fine—do whatever you want. But using mine for this? What is wrong with you?!

"That was the Herrscher of the Void talking. It has nothing to do with me." Kiana's cheeks were burning red. She was clearly mortified by what had just come out of her mouth.

"Do you have split personalities?" Vill-V asked with interest.

She was one herself, after all. It wasn't every day she ran into something similar.

"I'm not sure. I only found out about the Herrscher of the Void later. She's more like the Herrscher's consciousness," Kiana scratched her head. She didn't understand much herself.

"Actually, you can both be called 'Sirin.' You're two souls born from Sirin's wish."

"Two branches that grew from the same tree, stretching in different directions. It's just that you, Kiana, chose good… and Sirin chose evil," Koji said.

Kiana fell silent, thinking.

Her instincts told her Koji was right—she just hadn't wanted to admit it before.

The real Kiana was Durandal. And she really was Sirin—Sirin's kind, beautiful side…

"Interesting. A Herrscher's wish splitting into two extremes… and that can still exist in this era," Vill-V murmured.

"That's why it's a miracle," Koji said with a sigh. "A miracle brought by Elysia."

"Even though I already thanked the memory version of Elysia, I still want to say it again." Kiana spoke solemnly. "Thank you. Elysia-senpai. The reason we Herrschers can have humanity… is because of what you gave."

"Hehe, I'll take it." Elysia smiled sweetly. "But 'senpai' doesn't feel right. Calling me Elysia-chan would be better. Or even 'Elysia, your little sister.'"

"Elysia, your skin is unbelievably thick," Magician Vill-V snarked.

Making someone who should be calling you 'great-great-grandma' turn around and call you "little sister"… what kind of logic was that? It was practically treason against common sense.

"Vill-V, what's the big deal?" Elysia said. "My age right now is about the same as Kiana's, you know."

She was young right now. Having Kiana call her "little sister" was perfectly normal!

She'd even gotten Griseo to call her "little sister" before. What couldn't she do?

"I'll just call you senpai," Kiana said with a wry smile.

She really couldn't bring herself to call a senior "little sister." That would completely scramble the relationship.

"Koji, did you call me here just to meet Elysia and them?"

"Yeah. Elysia wanted to meet a Herrscher like herself, so I brought you here," Koji said, nodding.

Kiana looked at him with a weird expression. "You're really good to Elysia."

She just wanted to see someone once, and you ran all the way into the future to drag me over.

"Yeah, Koji, you're really good to me~" Elysia meant it. She was genuinely touched.

"In the future, Kevin agreed to let you meet Herrschers who have humanity like you. You could say he invited one every time he met a Herrscher," Koji said.

"Hehehe. Invite one every time he meets one… Kevin really has it rough," Elysia laughed.

She could pretty much guess the reason.

She knew what kind of person Kevin was. If it was her last wish, Kevin would absolutely find a way to fulfill it—he'd remember it forever, and he'd never let it go.

But still… imagining Kevin inviting Herrscher after Herrscher…

She couldn't help laughing.
