(Back to Gabriela and Saber)
Gabriela
— "Ok, after this turn left!"
Saber
— "Got it!" (Turns left)
For some reason, I have bad feeling something happened to Diana. The way she was speaking on the phone it wasn't normal at all. That's not Diana normally. Something really bad happened to her.
Just thinking about it only increases my anxiety; I just hope nothing serious happened to her, I really do.
Gabriela
— "We're almost there, it's only 100 meters from here."
Saber
— "Alright, time to speed up a little!"
Gabriela
— "Wo- WOAH! NOT TOO MUCH FAST, DUMBASS! I'M GONNA FALL, YOU DONKEY!"
[Some few minutes later]
We arrived at a mansion that was rather... gothic. It's impossible for Diana to live here, HOW DOES SHE LIVE HERE?! IS SHE REALLY THAT RICH????
Saber
— "I guess its here?"
Gabriela
— "Y-Yeah, I wasnt expecting this could be her house..." [descending from the back of Saber]
I approach the mansion gate and gently click the doorbell button. But I don't know why, but I'm feeling so anxious. I can feel the fluid in my stomach wanting to come out. Could it be because of the mood right now? Perhaps it's my concern for Diana?
Then suddenly a voice interrupts my turmoil and my almost vomit. I'm kind of relieved but it was almost there.
???
— "Who is it?"
An adult male voice could be heard on the other end of the doorbell. He sounds like someone serious and respectable. Just hearing him makes me quickly think that I need to maintain proper posture.
Gabriela
— [Gulps] "G-Good evening. I'm a friend of Diana's, she told me to come here. And I don't know what's going on with her."
Then a silence falls through the night mist; for a few seconds there is no answer. I look at Saber with a blank expression, not knowing what to do, while he has a normal expression on his face.
Then the gate began to open. I was so relieved I even let out a small sigh of relief. So Saber and I went inside and started walking down the path to her house. It wasn't long, but with this fog it felt like a horror game.
Ahead, a light opened that seemed to be a door. And in the doorway appeared a female figure dressed as... a maid?... In the 21st century? This is... strange? But honestly, I don't know what to expect from Diana anymore. I think she's a box of surprises at this point.
???
— "Good evening, Saber's Master. Although the current situation isn't the best at the moment. My name is Andreia and don't worry, Master Diana has already told us who you are."
The lady's voice was so polite and kind that it left me speechless, and I didn't know what to say at the moment. It's not every day that someone is like that with me.
Gabriela
— "T-Thank you, miss Andreia."
Saber
— "Thank you very much."
Andreia (with a gentle smile)
— "Please come inside. And you dont need to call me miss, Im just a maid."
Saber and I went inside the house. The house is beautifully decorated inside, and you can tell that everything is well cared for and clean, as if every piece of furniture and corner were meticulously maintained. A little "woah" escapes me when I look around, like a child who's just entered a museum for the first time.
But out of nowhere I feel a terrible headache, and I feel my blood boiling when I put my hand to my head.
Gabriela
— "Krr---!"
Saber
— "Ah-! Master!"
Gabriela
— "I-Im ok--- Just a headache. Augh, gosh..."
Maid Andreia (concern)
— "Oh seems you are not used to bounded fields, miss Gabriela. Do you need help?"
Gabriela
— "No, no, no, Im good. Thank you."
— (Gosh I swear I almost throw up again)
Maid Andreia
— "Well, if you say so then please follow me." [Saber has a visible concern expression]
I take a small deep breath to lose up the vomit. It kinda worked weirdly. Sometimes I dont understand my own body sometimes.
Maid Andreia led us to the main stairs of the mansion as we keep following her. The mansion was pretty big. I dont know how someone like Diana can live here. Its beyond my comprehension how she has this type of life. Are magis these rich? At least the lights are on, otherwise it would look like a haunted house.
Then we turned into a long corridor, and there was a male figure there. It was Diana's other Rider, but... Where's the other one?
Rogue Rider
— "You arrived just in time. Unfortunately, Master's condition isn't the best."
Just hearing those words made me anxious and nervous again.
Gabriela
— "B-But what happened to her? She fell or-"
Rogue Rider
— "She was stabbed."
She...was stabbed? The phrase, which sounds like a bullet, cannot process in my mind. I feel my eyes blurring with tears. I just feel my body and head turning towards the door by instinct.
I place my hand on the doorknob and... I gently open the door.
Gabriela
— "..."
Before me, in a dark room... A woman's body lay on the bed. Her torso was exposed; I could see her breasts and, just below them, a bandage wrapped around her all the way down to her belly. Hospital equipment was in the room, as if that room were only used for such occasions.
I didn't want to believe what was in front of me. That wasn't just Diana. That wasn't a Master. That was a friend who was between life and death. My classmate, my friend, even if only for a short time.
I walked over to her bed and I crouch down beside her. Her face said it all - pain, suffering, and as if she were already ready to die. I just kept crying more and more. This wasn't what she deserved. This wasn't the ending she deserved.
Gabriela
— "...Diana..."
That was the only thing I could say. I was calling her name as if I were begging her not to die. But it wouldn't do any good. Calling for her wasn't going to work miracles.
Just holding her, I can feel how cold she is. Her body is almost giving out. I can't bear to see this. I don't want to lose her.
And out of nowhere, a shadow appeared in the doorway. It was tall and conveyed a sense of heightened tension. I look and see that... It was Rider. She walks to the bed, but each step is a contained rage. Her expression... It was one of fury. But at the same time, she was holding back... But holding back the tears...
Rider
— "..."
She says nothing, but the silence says it all. And then she turns her face slightly in my direction. She makes a curious face.
Rider
— "...Your hand."
Gabriela
— "...Huh."
I look at my hand, and I see it shining... Now that I remember, I have this. I've used this before. I used it when I saw injured animals. For some reason, I could heal them if I massaged the injured area.
But even so, I never understood how I manage to do such a thing. Not even my mother explained how; she would jokingly say that even with that, I would be a good mother.
So what if... this works? [Gabriela starts massaging Diana's belly.] Her belly is so soft and smooth, even under the bandages. I continue to massage and rub. The blood that was there begins to disappear.
Rider
— "...What... Are you doing?"
I didn't even pay attention to her question. I was focused only on what was happening.
And I did that for a while until the blood stopped bleeding. There was nothing left there. I think I did it...
Then I looked back to Rider. She couldn't believe what was happening, but when she looked at me, her expression of surprise turned to one of shock.
Rider
— "Uh-! Your nose is bleeding!"
Am I bleeding from the nose? I touch my skin with my fingers to confirm and yes, I really was bleeding from the nose. For some reason, I am zooming out... Why Im zooming out... Why... My eyes are closing?
