22nd July, Space Era 100 — The First Year of Centory.
At the Führerpalast, Capital City of Berlyn.
Though the Führer's Palace was yet unfinished — its half-built domes still veiled beneath sheets of silver cloth, and the marble pillars dusted with lime — within its grand central hall convened a historic assembly:the first meeting of the New Government of the Centory Kingdom Reich, founded by Lord Aelyzabeth von Thors, the Supreme Leader — the woman whom the press already hailed as "The Iron Lady of the Space Age."
This meeting would later be immortalized as "The Great Centory Reformation."There, Lord Aelyzabeth announced five grand reforms that would transform the world — and the very structure of civilization itself — within the span of a single year.
1. The Establishment of the Presidency of Centory.
Though her regime was an absolute dictatorship, Lord Aelyzabeth surprisingly declared a "Presidential Election" — a gesture she described as proof that "even a dictator can govern democracy itself."
Only 500 delegates were eligible to vote:300 members of the National Party and 200 commissioned officers. All knew that the election was but a ceremony of obedience.
By secret decree, Aelyzabeth ordered every vote cast for one man —General Rudolf von Escheinsen.
The election concluded in less than thirty minutes. The result: unanimous, 500 to 0. Aelyzabeth smiled faintly and uttered only one sentence:
"Our democracy is now perfect."
Applause thundered across the hall.
Beyond the stars, however, the galactic media erupted:
"Centory is resurrecting the dictatorships of the Third World War!" — The Earth Federation Times"A mockery of democracy in the age of the cosmos!" — Galactic Tribune.
2. The Constitution of the Centory Kingdom Reich, Year I.
Aelyzabeth personally drafted the new constitution in only five days, inspired by her own early work, Magna Charta Evolutionis Humanae—The Great Charter of Human Evolution — a treatise she wrote at the age of twelve.
The new charter, titled "The Constitution of the Centory Kingdom Reich, Year I,"contained only 173 articles, a drastic reduction from the former republic's 900.
Its spirit was clear:
"The authority of the Supreme Leader is sacred and unchallengeable by any council, army, or court."
The constitution was divided into ten major sections, including:
Government and Administration (17 Articles)
National Security (9 Articles)
Rights of the Supreme Leader (4 Articles)
Armed Forces and National Defense (9 Articles)
Occupations and Citizenship (10 Articles)
She claimed the document drew from the ancient laws of Kaiser Zyon IV The Great of the Panthania Empire, some 1.359 billion years ago — a doctrine of power evolution:
"Those who possess greater strength shall possess greater right."
Right-wing scholars praised her as
"the destroyer of the old order, and the architect of humanity's rebirth."
Liberal academics from Earth, however, condemned it as
"a license for tyranny eternal."
3. The Economic and Financial Reformation.
Aelyzabeth abolished the old New Hope Dollar and introduced a new currency —the Centory Pound (₵) — effective from 1 October, Space Era 101.
The reform sent shockwaves through interstellar banking systems and colonial economies alike, symbolizing total independence from Earth's financial influence.
"We shall no longer sell the labor of our children to the bankers of alien worlds."
The new Autarkic System replaced capitalism with national self-sufficiency, under the triad principle:1. Made by Centory — 2. From Centory — 3. For Centory.
Taxes were raised from 32% to 50%, but the state promised to care for every citizen "from birth to death."
4. The Reformation of the Military and National Security.
Aelyzabeth dissolved the National Police and merged them with the army, creating the Armada Ruam Marine Krieg (ARMK) — the Supreme Command of Centory Forces.
ARMK Commander: Field Marshal Lord Aelyzabeth Thors
was divided into three major branches:
VSM (Vorwärtskommando): The Expeditionary Army for external warfare.Commander: Lt. General Vito Vilozyver.
HSDK (Hauptquartier der Selbstverteidigungskräfte): The Self-Defense Forces.Commander: General Yamada Tohishiro.
ZHMP (Zentrales Hauptquartier der Militärpolizei): The Central Military Police.Commander: General Vladimir Zakayev.
In addition, a Paramilitary forces organization, SSC (Schtuam Schuztavle Cerlinkle), operated under Aelyzabeth's direct command, comprising three elite divisions:
SSR (Schutz Regiment): The armed core of the regime.Commander: Lt. General Siegfried Schneider the Aelyzabeth Thors Loyalism.
SSA (Sicherheitsamt): Intelligence and assassination division,
1 Including the Leader's Protection Bureau, Führungsverteidigungszentrum(FSZ)
2 The National Purification Office, Nationales Büro für Katastrophenvorsorge und -minderung (NBKM)
3 The Central Intelligence Directorate , Nationaler Geheimdienst(NGD).
Commander: Secretary Lea von Yigzorch.
SSS (Staatssicherheit): Internal security and advanced science division,
1 Overseeing the Internal Security Bureau Büro für innere Sicherheit(BIS)
2 The National Information Agency, Nationale Zentrale Informationsagentur(NZI)
3 The Supreme Scientific Office, Oberstes nationales Wissenschaftsbüro(ONW)
Commander: Regent General Aelaera von Escheinsen.
"We do not need an army loyal to the state — only an army loyal to the Supreme Leader."— Aelyzabeth von Thors
Diplomats from Earth Federation declared:
"This is the birth cry of a war that may soon engulf the stars."
5. The Reformation of Civil Life and Bureaucracy.
The Führer initiated a massive downsizing of the government:
The Ministry of Defense was restructured as the Ministry of War (Krieg Minister).
The Ministries of Commerce and Finance were merged.
Higher Education was unified with Public Education.
Walter von Yigzorch, spokesman of the National Party, was appointed Director of the National Propaganda Bureau (Nationales Werbebüro).
To revive employment, the government began vast public works projects —including the Fralius Highway System spanning 65,796 kilometers of road, bridge, and subaquatic tunnels, and the Quantum Railway connecting Berlyn to Bistach.
Aelyzabeth also summoned the creditors of the former Republic, presenting two options:
Cancel all interest and reclaim only the principal.
Receive nothing at all.
Most chose the first — for none dared wage war against a nation that "does what it says, and says what it does."
Voices of Division.
While the masses revered her decisiveness, dissent grew both within and beyond Centory.
Liberal activists warned:
"We are witnessing the dawn of an empire that may not stop until every star bears her banner."
Earth's commentators wrote:
"Aelyzabeth von Thors — intelligent, cold, and merciless — the mirror of a new kind of ruler."
But among Centory's laborers, the sentiment was simple:
"She gave us work, food, and dignity again. We care not what title she bears —Führer or Empress — so long live Lord Aelyzabeth von Thors! Heil Aelyzabeth Thors!"(The Thorsian Salute.)
Epilogue.
The reforms of Aelyzabeth von Thors marked the beginning of what historians would later call"The Age of Light and Shadow" —an era that brought unprecedented glory to Centory, and a darkness from which the galaxy would never again awaken.
Thus ends Chapter C-III.
