Wait—what?
For a second I honestly wondered if my brain had short‑circuited from overcultivating, because there's no way I just heard that correctly. Either my mind was turning more degenerate… or I was officially losing it.
I blinked, trying to reset reality. 'Focus. Don't imagine things.'
Once again, I looked her straight in the eyes just to make sure my brain wasn't playing tricks on me. She looked like she wanted to melt into the ground, embarrassed by her own words.
So I wasn't imagining it.
And it had come out of her—the cute, innocent one who usually acted like holding my sleeve was already pushing the boundaries of propriety.
I exhaled slowly, trying not to let my thoughts wander to dangerous territories.
"I'll be happy if you do that."
Her head snapped back to me, and I could see the faintest flicker of relief in her eyes. But she quickly masked it with another shy smile.
