A knock at the door broke my thoughts. On the other side stood a maid, informing me that dinner was ready.
Gotta admit, the quality of maids in this house was off the charts.
I swear it was like Daniel raided a K-pop idol agency and took all their trainees.
"I'll be there shortly," I replied, instinctively touching her chin, which made her blush.
"Y-Young Master," she stammered, not resisting at all. Talk about being submissive.
I definitely need to stay in this house for many reasons other than the mission.
"My apologies. You're just too pretty so I couldn't help myself,"
The Male Host Card was doing wonders, but I had to cut this short. There were more pressing matters waiting for me.
When she left, I washed my face, and made my way to the dining room.
Thankfully, I still had the old owner's memories; without them, I'd probably get lost in this mansion-sized maze.
'So, this is the rich life.'
The dining area was an open space connected to the patio, where a blue-lit pool shimmered under the night sky.
Long and polished, the dining table stretched across the room as a display of wealth—dark wood so refined it practically whispered imported.
Across from me, the marble bar gave off a soft glow from its backlighting, like it was bragging about how expensive it was.
Daniel sat at the head of the table, as always.
His posture was perfect — back straight, chin slightly lifted, fork and knife in precise position.
You could mistake him for a statue if he didn't occasionally blink. His focus was, unsurprisingly, on the twins.
Ethan and Ella — Ellie's children. My lovely stepsiblings.
They were both eighteen but already carried themselves like miniature adults. The kind that grew up knowing their last name was worth more than most people's futures.
Ella, the twin sister, had that young mistress look of someone born to be admired — long silver hair, flawless skin, and a smile so practiced it could probably break hearts on command.
She carried herself like the world already belonged to her, and honestly, with that face, no one would dare argue.
Ethan, on the other hand, looked like the model student every parent bragged about: neat haircut, posture straight, voice calm and polite.
If I didn't know them, anyone would think they were proper people.
What a load of bullshit.
I remembered the old days, back when this body was still under their mercy.
They used to mock the old Ace, treating him like trash and going out of their way to humiliate him whenever they could.
But tonight? They were all smiles and manners.
Ethan sliced his steak quietly, dabbing his mouth with a napkin like some fancy royal, while Ella was busy stirring her soup gently.
Yeah. Perfect little angels.
"Father, about the company shares you mentioned earlier…" Ethan began speaking about complicated business stuff.
Daniel nodded slightly, obviously proud.
"Good thinking, son. You've been reading the reports I left on your desk?"
"Yes, sir." Ethan smiled. "Every night."
Of course he did. Probably sleeps with the company report under his pillow, hoping to inherit everything in the future like a fucking vulture.
Ella chimed in next, her tone light and teasing.
"Daddy, can you buy me that bag I wanted?" She tilted her head, blinking those long eyelashes.
This girl was the textbook definition of a gold digger. But she was good.
Daniel's lips curled again — twice in one dinner.
"Sure, just ask your mother for the credit card."
"Thanks, Daddy, you're the best."
"It's nothing." He chuckled and reached out to pat her hair.
Guess even the serious ones can't resist something… fresh on the menu.
A gorgeous stepdaughter and a loaded stepfather…
I froze mid-bite.
'Oh, for god's sake.'
I wanted to smack myself for letting my brain dig up random doujins plots at the worst possible time.
Ella must've noticed me spacing out, because when our eyes met, she gave me a smirk.
"Is something wrong?" Daniel asked her.
Ella smiled sweetly. "Nothing, Daddy."
Damn, now even the word "Daddy" sounds wrong—for way too many reasons.
The dinner went on.
Daniel occasionally made comments about business; Ethan nodded like a model heir; Ella laughed softly at her step's father's every word.
And me? I was just the unwanted extra sitting in the background.
Then —
DING!
The familiar chime echoed in my mind, and a blue screen flashed before my eyes.
[Mission: Sleep with Ella and Make Her Your Lover]
[Acting Card Upgrader]
[Bonus Mission: Do it while Ellie is watching]
[Acting Card Upgrader]
[Bonus Mission: Sleep with both of them]
[Awakening Card]
I almost choked on my food.
'Wow,' I muttered under my breath, 'this system really has some messed-up fetishes.'
Although, I must admit, this mission was very tempting.
Looks like I'm going to experience a mother and daughter combination very soon.
