Eggsy had never imagined that two people could completely subdue over a hundred individuals.
Especially the bearded man, who was extremely violent yet exuded a unique, rigid elegance.
In his impression, no one but Harry could achieve such a feat.
And the other guy was no less impressive; his every movement was precise, and their styles were highly consistent.
"Did you see that, Merlin?" Eggsy couldn't help but ask.
"I did," Merlin replied, clearly well-informed about John, "Night Demon John, and that Chinese man. Their tactical coordination is as if they're the same person."
"Night Demon? John?" Eggsy was puzzled, as he had only recently joined the Knights of the Round Table organization.
Meanwhile, Merlin, a kilometer away, had a clear view of the battlefield through the miniature camera on his glasses.
Harry, standing behind Merlin, gently swirled the martini in his glass, the clinking of ice cubes exceptionally clear in the quiet carriage.
His gaze fell on the live feed from the AR glasses, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.
"Elegant savages..." he murmured, "Even more efficient than we were back then."
"Enjoy it. Night Demon's fighting style is worth studying. This is a rare opportunity," Harry's voice came through.
At the end of the corridor, John and Zhang Jie stood back to back.
"How many left?" John asked.
"Twelve rounds," Zhang Jie replied.
John didn't respond, merely gently touched the wedding ring on his left ring finger.
The next second, both men stepped forward simultaneously, the muzzle flashes once again shattering the calm.
The security guards, who had just managed to catch their breath, were instantly terrified by the renewed gunfire. These two were like devils with their pinpoint accuracy.
One particularly liked to shoot at the knees, while the other preferred headshots.
These two combined were a battlefield harvesting machine. Engaging them in close quarters offered almost no chance of survival. Their firepower reserves were astonishing; hardly a single shot was wasted.
Even more terrifying was that Zhang Jie had prepared a sufficient quantity of armor-piercing rounds. Hiding behind a wall was useless; he would still blast you with a single shot.
The pressure and fear these two brought far exceeded that of an equal number of enemies, which was what truly broke them.
Mountbatten sat in his office, watching the screen on the wall, his expression gradually shifting from a slight smile to blankness, and finally to incredulity.
"How the hell is this possible? How can anyone remain so at ease while being besieged by over a hundred people?"
Mountbatten furiously hurled the cigar in his hand at the monitor, but it was to no avail.
Then, he grabbed a small box from his desk, opened it, and took out a golden Desert Eagle.
He silently loaded seven .50AE rounds. He knew he couldn't escape the melee outside. His only option now was to ambush them, to blast them into a sieve the moment they opened the door.
As for whether this method would work or be effective, he didn't know, but it was his last struggle. He had severely underestimated the insane combat power of these two, and even more so, John and Zhang Jie's determination to avenge Ling Feng.
The gunfire outside continued, but visibly transitioned from dense to gradually sporadic.
All the combatants had been killed by Zhang Jie and John. When rifle ammunition ran out, they switched to Pistols, becoming even more violent and elegant. The Mozambique Shooting technique was fully unleashed at this moment.
Compared to their combined combat, John's fighting style leaned more towards elegance and fluidity. Every shot and movement was methodical, thoroughly embodying the essence of the Mozambique Shooting technique.
Zhang Jie's movements, however, were slightly less refined. While not exactly clunky, something felt off, especially when compared to John. John's efficiency was absolutely maximized; by the time John had consecutively killed three people, Zhang Jie had barely dealt with his second enemy.
But every one of Zhang Jie's shots was eye-catching. If John's Mozambique Shooting technique was the standard procedure, then Zhang Jie's Mozambique Shooting technique incorporated some of his own understanding.
Shooting the knees was his most frequent action. Compared to John's occasional shots to the feet, abdomen, or chest, Zhang Jie had a particular fondness for Shooting the knees.
A shot to the knee would almost incapacitate an opponent, leaving him clutching his leg and screaming in pain, followed by a second shot to disarm him, and then a final shot to his head.
Later, it evolved into a direct shot to the chest, then a shot to the head, sometimes even a direct headshot.
Gruesome, vivid red and white 'flowers' continuously bloomed in the corridor, and they finally arrived at the door.
Seeing the two enter, the people inside immediately opened fire, but the two instantly pressed against the wall, evading their line of sight.
Zhang Jie decisively pulled out a flashbang, removed the pin, and then threw it directly through the damaged door opening.
A blinding white flash and a muffled bang erupted inside the room. Immediately, Zhang Jie and the other man kicked open the door and unleashed indiscriminate rapid fire.
Non-combatants had already gathered and hidden together, while the combatants, armed with guns, charged forward one by one, only to be executed one by one.
Eggsy didn't dare to move from his spot, and he wasn't feeling well either. The flashbang wasn't too far from him, so he was feeling dizzy and nauseous.
The basement amplified the effect of the flashbang.
Yet, he couldn't help but watch their fight because it was simply too captivating. Compared to the gentlemanly fighting style Harry taught him, their bloody violence thrilled him even more.
That feeling of every shot hitting its mark was truly... awesome!
In ten minutes, the two cleanly dealt with one hundred and ten security guards and assassins.
Their efficiency was astounding.
Combat Resolution:
John: 176 rounds expended, 69 kills.
Zhang Jie: 201 rounds expended, 35 kills.
John won the MVP of the entire scene!
You say the numbers don't add up? Six people are missing?
Oh, those were killed by Zhang Jie using an M67 grenade, so they don't count.
The two glanced at the non-combatants hiding in the safe zone. Zhang Jie frowned, but ultimately did not act.
John looked at Eggsy, then walked towards the office.
When John's gaze fell on him, Eggsy felt his blood almost freeze. The overwhelming killing intent sent shivers down his spine. Fortunately, it was just a glance, and he wasn't actually sent to meet his Maker.
"Holy sh*t, this guy is terrifying. I never want to face him again!"
Only at this moment did he understand what the words "Night Demon" truly meant.
Zhang Jie also gave him a glance, then followed John towards the office.
Eggsy continued his Bluetooth conversation via his glasses with Merlin and Harry, who were sitting several kilometers away.
"What should I do? Do I need to go up and stop them?" He knew very well that these two had broken in to deal with Mountbatten, but at this moment, he was having second thoughts.
Merlin and Harry's reply, however, made him breathe a sigh of relief.
"No need, just watch from here," Harry's words were direct.
Arriving outside the office door, Zhang Jie and John didn't break in immediately but paused at the entrance for a while.
Zhang Jie looked up at the camera diagonally above the door, baring his teeth in a smile.
Then, he shot it to pieces!
