"That was the artistic side," Haejin says, slightly breathless but not winded.
"Now for the practical application."
Staff members bring out wooden boards.
The kind used for breaking demonstrations.
They set up three boards in a held position.
Two staff members volunteer to hold them.
Looking nervous about being that close to the impact.
Haejin explains as he prepares: "Breaking boards isn't about strength. It's about focus, technique, and committing fully to the strike."
He settles into stance.
Eyes fixed on the boards.
"Hesitation means failure. You have to trust yourself completely."
Soorin recognizes this principle from her own training.
The commitment. The follow-through.
No hesitation or you lose.
The room is dead silent.
Haejin takes a breath.
Centers himself.
Then he moves.
The kick is fast.
Faster than his form work.
Explosive power concentrated into a single point.
His foot connects with the boards with a sharp CRACK.
