Chapter 19: The Emergence of Super Saiyan 3 Ultimate!

"Majin Buu, you really…" Trunks looked irritably toward a thick pink smoke, within which Buu's smiling face was slowly forming.
"Damn it… even the Kamehameha didn't affect him!" Piccolo cursed as he saw Majin Buu's body regenerate at a terrifying speed.
"We can't defeat him this way…" Goku frowned, for people like Majin Buu couldn't be taken down so easily.
His energy was endless, he could absorb the power of his opponents, and on top of that, he could grow stronger mid-battle or even copy his enemies' techniques.
And since he practically possessed immortality, he was invincible—unless someone could subdue and seal him.
"Kakarot, can't you notice this?" Vegeta smirked arrogantly. Even though Goku slightly surpassed him in fighting, Vegeta was sharper and more cunning.
"What do you mean, Vegeta?" Goku looked at him curiously. Vegeta answered with a grin, "When Trunks attacked Majin Buu with the Kamehameha earlier, while fending it off… he transformed part of his body into smoke just so he wouldn't die."
"And so?" Goku felt that even though Vegeta's arrogance had toned down a bit, he was sounding foolish.
"Kakarot, you…" Vegeta's brow twitched. He wanted to smack this damn fool, but barely managed to calm himself.
"Son, Majin Buu would only pull off a move like that if he couldn't regenerate when his body is destroyed entirely… which means all we have to do is erase him completely. Got it?" Piccolo explained calmly, then glanced at Goku, who finally seemed to understand.
...
High in the sky, a little apart from Goku and the others, Trunks was glaring at Majin Buu.
"That bastard… maybe I should just crush him using Super Saiyan 4!" Trunks muttered in annoyance, then sighed.
Majin Buu stood before him with an arrogant grin. Yet he couldn't help but feel vexed at this damned human.
Why wouldn't he allow himself to be absorbed? If Buu could absorb him, he would become unstoppable.
"Stupid human…" Majin Buu spat with irritation and contempt at Trunks.
"...."
Forget it, I'll just crush this walking wad of pink gum.
Trunks' brow twitched, fury rising within him. In the next instant, he transformed from Super Saiyan 2 straight into Super Saiyan 3.
"...."
Damn you, human! I was only toying with you!
A blazing golden aura erupted around Trunks, his long spiky golden hair flowing, and his face twisted into a smirk full of arrogance and disdain.
Majin Buu trembled—not with fear, but with anger and a wild urge to absorb him.
"Haaaah!" With a roar that sounded like a battle cry, Majin Buu charged at Trunks.
In a flash, he appeared before him, throwing a fierce punch at his head—but Trunks easily dodged it.
"Haa!" With a flurry of shouts, Buu unleashed a storm of punches and kicks. Yet Trunks calmly slipped past them all, as if he had activated a cheat.
Trunks looked at him with disdain.
You barely had the edge over me in Super Saiyan 2… and now you expect to defeat me when I'm two or three times stronger than that?!
Bored, Trunks lashed out with a kick that sent Majin Buu hurtling hundreds of meters away. Buu barely managed to stop himself and regain balance.
"Yaaaaaah!" Majin Buu screamed in rage, raising his power to the maximum. Within seconds, a pink energy beam pierced the heavens.
The earth trembled beneath everyone's feet. The sky darkened, thunder echoing all around.
Buu raised his hands, gathering a massive pink energy ball—so immense that even Goku stepped back uneasily.
"Trunks… this energy…" Goten whispered in fear. "It's terrifying!"
With a maniacal laugh, Buu hurled the sphere at Trunks.
Trunks raised his arm to block, but the blast's power forced him backward, his teeth clenched.
BOOOOM!
The heavens shook with the explosion. Dust and smoke filled the sky, and when it finally cleared, Trunks emerged—wounded lightly, exhausted, but still standing.
"Unbelievable…" Piccolo muttered as he watched. "Buu actually surpasses Super Saiyan 3!"
"Is this his true power…? It's terrifying!" Goku and Vegeta looked at Majin Buu in horror.
Majin Buu grinned wickedly. "Heh… you're finished, human. Your great power means nothing against my immortal body."
Trunks panted, then raised his head with a cold smile.
"Hmph… don't get ahead of yourself."
He closed his eyes for a moment. Suddenly, his body erupted in a blinding golden-white aura—purer, fiercer than anything anyone had ever seen.
Winds howled into a storm, the ground cracked apart, and even the air itself seemed to shatter.
"Impossible…" Goku trembled, eyes wide. "That's not just Super Saiyan 3… it's something else entirely!"
Trunks roared with all his might:
"SUUUUPER SAAAAIYAN 3 ULTIMAAAAATE!!!"
In an instant, his golden hair grew even longer and more radiant. His eyes blazed with a fierce light.
His aura multiplied thousands of times over, golden energy arcs filling the sky like a thousand blazing suns.
For the first time, Majin Buu shuddered, mumbling: "What… what is this power?!"
Trunks lifted his hand and waved lightly. A golden cyclone of energy swirled out, blasting Buu away for hundreds of meters.
"Now…" Trunks spoke calmly, voice brimming with confidence. "I'll show you the difference between true power… and a child's game."
