Brother rushed outside his room, locking the door tightly, he put guards at the door for my safety, I kept hearing grunts and wails from outside, I was so curious I decided to peep through the basement window
Walking quietly as I could towards the window, resting my body frame at the left side, I bent slightly to get a better view of what was going on, as I gazed at it I got the shock of my life, there were lots of dead bodies, wounded and stabbed roughly.
My eyes searching for my brother hurriedly, I saw him wounded badly too, and still fighting, I wanted to help him but I was just a weak princess, who couldn't even lift a sword, brother was getting really injured and all I could do was just watch.
"Ahhhh" I heard a scream and my brother was stabbed by a man who looks familiar too me, but I can't just seem to remember who he really was he stenched of danger and blood
I used my hands to cover my mouth, stopping myself from screaming, brother is dead, no no no how, why, tears falling from my eyes.
I need to get out of here, I heard a voice "kill the princess", the voice sounded so familiar, who could this be, oh no they wanted me dead too, I quickly hid in a drum, half filled with water, I sat inside quietly, praying and wishing they would just go and leavew alone, I didn't know how long had passed, but it seemed like hours and it has all quiet down, I climbed out of the drum with shaky legs, I've got leg cramps for scorching down too long.
I opened the basement door, removing my shoes, I walked out of the door, I looked around seeing the guards, who were meant to be protecting me, all dead, the familiar odour of blood hitting my nose, I rushed outside, my brother Jeffery laying lifeless and stabbed in cold blood, I touched his face slightly, tears gushing down my face like ocean.
"My princess" one of my personal maid hazel called out to me, it's been almost an hour, I've been crying on my brothers dead body, I looked up at her with scarlet red swollen eyes "Th..e qu..ee..n I...isss" my eyes widened what was she trying to say.
"The queen is what, hazel what happened to the queen, tell me and stop stuttering" I half yelled at her losing my strength, "my princess, the queen is dead" she replied with fear in her eyes.
I couldn't quite understand her, which queen was she talking about, she must be kidding right "wh..i.....ccc..hh queen" I stuttered this time, she bowed quickly and knelt in fear.
This only means my mother was killed!, no no no my brain screamed, as I stood up immediately and started running off to the west palace, into mother's chambers, no i didn't want to believe mother can't be dead, I saw her a few hours ago right.
Stepping into her chamber, the king was there I couldn't care less I just wanted to see my mother, I walked quietly towards her bed, she was covered in white clothing, were they joking right now, her hand in maids by her side weeping.
"What going on here!, what gave you all the right to come in here a d cover my mother in this clothing" I said rushing towards her bed, I moved to her side and quickly removed tb clothing, he face was pale and there were several stabs all over her body, my eyes widened in horror, mom is dead too.
"Hold her" my father commanded the guards, stopping me from trying to wake mom up, I begged him that nothing was wrong with her she was just sleeping right, I almost lost my mind, almost was an understatement, they tried to stop me, everything became hazy in my eyes, I passed out due to stress.
