"Get out of my room, Gia," Salvatore repeated, this time, with more bass in his voice and annoyance in his tone.
"Fine, I'll leave! If you really want me to leave, I'll leave! But it's not fair. It's not fair to me and it's not fair to us!"
"Us?!" He laughed in disbelief. "There is no is. There has never been an us. There will never be an us!"
"You're lying. You're fucking lying and you know it."
"Get out Gia! If anyone sees you here and reports back to Carpo, I'm going to lose it on you."
"Oh that's it?" She scoffed. "That's the reason you're being so distant? Because you don't want to offend Carpo? He knows I'm not a child anymore."
"It doesn't matter. Get out! Just get out!"
"Fine!" She screamed, and marched out of the room.
Salvatore released the breath he was holding, and finally turned around.
"Jesus," he muttered under his breath.
His eyes went down to the ring box he was holding on to, and he sighed.
Closing his eyes, he breathed out loudly again.
