A call from Rome came into Luciano's phone as he walked into his room.
"It's me Francesca," he heard as soon as he answered the call.
"Vittorio said you returned to Rome. I thought you said you were not leaving until you saw Valentina?"
The pain on his shoulder was killing him, and he had forgotten his bottle of whiskey at the meeting room.
He picked up another one, and walked over to his balcony.
"I did say that. But there was something important I needed to do. I'm actually calling regarding that. Can I come see her soon? Alyssia has a message for her."
"What message?" He inhaled sharply.
The last time, he hadn't listened and had regretted it terribly.
"Don't worry, it has nothing to do with you. It's for her alone."
He sighed. "Whenever you're ready, we'll send a flight to come get you."
"Excellent."
The call ended, and Luciano sighed again.
"Carpo?"
Salvatore walked into the room, searching for him.
"Over here," he said right after drinking from the bottle.
