Or Li Yao truly was a unique being in this world, outside the causal fabric, rendering his future unreadable.
Simply put—Li Yao did not exist in the original future of the shinobi world. That's why Fugaku's power couldn't detect any future involving him.
Of these two possibilities, Li Yao leaned toward the first one: that Fugaku's left eye couldn't see the "real" future.
The truth would be clear once he tested it himself.
Now that he had copied Fugaku's Mangekyō chakra, he too could access both past and future.
He just had to use it once and see for himself.
But first, he checked the ability of the right eye—the one that could see the past.
"This one's not bad."
Li Yao nodded. Compared to the left eye—which could only see futures involving himself—the right eye's ability to view the past was much more practical. As long as he targeted someone with the ability, he could view segments of their past.
From Fugaku's memories, Li Yao learned that he had been secretly investigating the missing corpses of Uchiha clan members who died on missions over the past seven or eight years.
