"Isabella."
She turned, wiping her eyes quickly though she hadn't cried.
"What is it?"
"I've doubled the patrol. The north cameras are back online. But…"
His jaw tightened.
"We're compromised. Completely."
She nodded. "We already knew that."
"Yes. But now I know how deep it goes."
He stepped closer.
"Someone erased months of footage not just hours. Someone who knew every blind spot Damian trusted."
Her breath hitched.
"Marco?"
"Marco isn't smart enough," Luca said bluntly.
"And he doesn't move quietly. Someone is working for him… someone trained."
Isabella swallowed.
Maria.
Her mother's ledger.
Her strange movements.
Those sharp eyes Sophia described.
"Luca," she whispered, "if Maria is connected."
He raised a hand.
"Don't accuse her yet. If she's dangerous, confronting her without proof could get you killed. And…"
He hesitated.
"And Damian would destroy me if I let that happen."
Isabella's heart twisted painfully.
"We need the truth," she said. "All of it."
