Five days have passed since Gary and his Pokemon started their training.
Surprisingly, Joltik learnt Electroweb on his own even though Gary hasn't figured out a teaching method yet.
So, Joltik is definitely smart.
Magikarp learnt tackle.
Charmander learnt Dragon Tail.
And Froakie learnt Agility.
And he has Protean!
When using String shot after Froakie has used Agility, the effectiveness increased.
Meaning, Froakie became a Psychic type.
So, Gary has decided that Greninja will be his main ninja partner with all sorts of useful moves, unlike that bum Ash's Greninja who knew some simple moves only.
Right now, he and Froakie are by a waterfall. Meditating and trying to sense the energy within themselves.
Well, atleast Gary is. Froakie is distracted by a bunch of Butterfrees.
Froakie thinks that Gary can't notice, but he surprisingly can.
While he didn't find any sort of energy within himself, he could faintly sense his surroundings.
The flapping of Butterfrees' wings.
And Froakie's head moving to follow the butterfrees.
Suddenly, he heard a rustle and his focus shattered.
It is still a forest, so Gary is ready for Spearows and Beedrills.
"Pichu?"
But, it turned out to be a curious Pichu.
Gary considered catching him. Raichu isn't really a good pure electric type Pokemon. Pachirisu, and especially Jolteon are much better than him.
But, wouldn't it be great to beat Ash's Pikachu with the same species?
Though both will have Charizards, Ash's Charizard isn't the most powerful. His Pikachu is.
Gary smiled at Pichu and took out some Pokemon food from his bag.
"Wanna have this?"
Without any caution, Pichu sniffed, his eyes sparkled, and he came close to Gary and Froakie.
"Here."
"Pichu!"
Pichu enjoyed the food a lot.
Perhaps he isn't much old yet?
"Do you want to come with me? I have lots of food."
"Pichu!"
Pichu readily agreed.
So maybe he's really very young.
Gary took out a Pokeball, enlarged it, and softly bonked him with it.
Pichu became a red light and entered the Pokeball.
The Pokeball shook once.
The Pokeball shook twice.
Pichu was caught.
Gary caught his fifth Pokemon.
"Alright everyone, meet your new friend!"
"Char!"
"Joltik!"
*Splash!* *Splash!*
"Froakie!"
"Pichu!"
"Alright, let's start today's training!"
First, everyone started the basic stretches and warm up. Pichu copied them.
"Pi~chu! Pi~chu!"
While warming up, Gary thought about what to do with Pichu.
Pichu is a cute Pokemon, and will remain cute throughout his final evolution.
So Fairy type moves like Charm and Sweet Kiss might work for him.
Then there is obviously Iron Tail.
Electroweb and Electroball.
And most importantly, Thunderbolt.
"Alright. Take this."
He gave a transparent hollow rubber ball to Joltik, Pichu, Froakie and Charmander.
Rasengan training. Or, Water Pulse training for Froakie. Electro Ball training for Joltik and Pichu. And Fire Ball for Charmander?
Well, even if nothing comes out of it for Charmander, it will be great training for her to make her control over fire better.
Or maybe the move will turn into Dragon Ball or something?
Anyway, it's worth a shot.
"Focus your energy inside the ball, and try to spin and compress your energy inside it."
"Char!"
"Joltik!"
"Froakie!"
"Pichu!"
After handing them the training for today, Gary focused on Magikarp.
Putting Magikarp against the stream of the waterfall, Gary said, "Try to climb the waterfall. There is great food at the top!"
Hearing this, Magikarp started trying his best.
Meanwhile, Gary started trying to use Aura again.

After a while, Joltik suceeded in his training.
"Joltik!"
Gary took back the ball from him, and said, "Show it."
"Jol-tik!"
An Electro Ball appeared before Joltik.
"Good job!"
"Froakie!"
Froakie got Gary's attention.
Without the ball, a Water Pulse appeared in Froakie's hand.
"Wow! Good job Froakie!"
"Char..."
Charmander was disappointed that she couldn't do it.
"Don't worry. Just show me what you got."
A green energy appeared on Charmander's hand.
So, dragon energy!?
"Feel the energy, and cover both your hands in it. Make them sharp claws."
"Char?"
'Like this?'
Charmander did as Gary told him, and she has learnt Dragon Claw!
"Great Job Charmander! You have learnt Dragon Claw!"
"Char! Char!"
Charmander started jumping up and down in joy.
As for Pichu, he got bored of training and started playing with the ball, so Gary let him.
He is just a baby afterall.
And then, his gaze went to Magikarp.
He has bravely held his position against the stream. In fact, he was actually able to move some centimetres ahead.
And then, a bright light enveloped Magikarp.
Magikarp is evolving!
His speed skyrocketed, and he easily started climbing the waterfall.
And when he reached at the top, the light vanished, revealing his evolved form!
Gyarados!
"Gyarados! You look really cool! Here!"
Gary threw half of his supply of Pokemon food, which Gyarados easily caught in his giant mouth.
"GYAARRRR!"
Gyarados returned down, roaring in victory.
But Pichu got scared and hid behind Gary.
"Pichu!"
"Hahaha! Don't be scared. Look, he wouldn't do anything."
Gary assured Pichu as he stroked Gyarados's head.
"Pichu?"
"Don't worry, he is harmless, see?"
"Pichu!"
Gary smiled as his Pokemon's interacted with the strongest member of the team.
He has treated Magikarp with special care over the years. Others most likely belittle their Magikarp for being atrociously weak, so when they evolve into Gyarados, they become angry pricks who even attack their trainers.
"Alright everyone, return."
He will start training Gyarados from tomorrow. If he is able to learn to fly, since it is a Water/Flying type, it will great.
Grinning, Gary started leaving the forest. Now it's time to get his first gym badge!
