Seeing how much Night Raid expected from him, Emiya didn't bother putting on airs.
He accepted without hesitation, instructing the entire group to report to the Imperial Capital's security force the following day.
Before leaving, he turned to Najenda and added casually,
"Oh, right. I've already sent Esdeath to deal with the Revolutionary Army."
Najenda's expression changed instantly.
Emiya waved his hand.
"Don't worry. I've already given the order. This operation will only target the leaders and high-ranking officials. Everyone else will be spared."
He paused, then continued calmly,
"If any of your friends are among those high-ranking officials-or if there's someone you believe shouldn't die-persuade them to surrender. I'll forgive their past actions."
"If they insist on opposing me and splitting the Empire..." Emiya sighed lightly. "Then I apologize."
As a former imperial general, Najenda understood the cruelty of war.
She also knew that Emiya's terms were already extremely generous.
"Thank you for your magnanimity, Your Majesty," she said seriously. "I will return to the Revolutionary Army's base and persuade them to surrender."
Emiya nodded.
"You may-but be careful. They might treat you as a traitor."
Najenda acknowledged the warning.
After a moment of thought, Emiya handed her a ring.
Lubbock's face immediately turned green.
Najenda herself looked confused.
"This will enhance your strength and provide an extra layer of protection," Emiya explained. "It's a type of Teigu. You're a good person-it would be a waste for you to die."
Understanding dawned on her face. Najenda accepted the ring slowly.
Emiya then left and returned to the palace.
The next day, the members of Night Raid officially joined the Imperial Capital's security force.
Najenda, meanwhile, returned alone to the Revolutionary Army's base to attempt negotiations.
A few days later, Esdeath departed the capital with her army to suppress the southern rebellion.
Before she left, Emiya repeated his order once more:
"Only the leaders. No unnecessary killing."
To ensure Esdeath wouldn't ignore him under the excuse of military autonomy-and slaughter everyone indiscriminately-Emiya sent Heracles along as well.
Heracles wasn't there to command troops.
His sole duty was to stop Esdeath if she issued reckless orders-such as a massacre.
After all, this was the same woman who had once buried four hundred thousand northern nomads alive.
A single verbal command wouldn't restrain someone like her.
Esdeath understood Emiya's intention, but didn't take it too seriously.
She believed only in the law of the jungle.
If Heracles could defeat her, she would obey.
If not-then that was another matter.
Emiya, however, had complete confidence in Heracles.
A few days after Esdeath's departure, Hephaestus and the others finally returned.
"This is for you," Hephaestus said, casually tossing something toward Emiya.
It was a blue egg-nearly a meter tall when standing upright.
No matter how one looked at it, it resembled a Danger Beast egg.
Emiya raised an eyebrow.
"What kind of Danger Beast is this from?"
Hephaestus smiled.
"It's not a Danger Beast egg. It's the automatic dragon automaton we made for you."
"...An automatic dragon automaton?" Emiya was genuinely surprised.
"Pour your magic into it."
Following her instructions, Emiya injected his magic into the massive egg.
The next instant, a powerful suction force erupted.
The egg greedily drained his magic-far more than expected.
And it still wasn't satisfied.
It began absorbing Emiya's life force.
Emiya immediately released his Nen Beast-the Dragon of Greed-and redirected its life force into the egg.
Only after consuming life energy equivalent to several hundred monsters did the egg finally stop.
Crack-
A thin fissure appeared on the shell.
The cracks spread rapidly, covering the entire surface-
Bang!
The egg shattered.
Standing before Emiya was a young woman with golden hair, dragon horns, and a dragon tail, dressed neatly in a maid outfit.
Emiya was speechless.
She looked exactly like Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid's Tohru.
A few seconds later, the dragon girl opened her eyes and looked straight at Emiya.
"Master."
Hephaestus smiled.
"Give her a name."
Emiya sighed wryly.
"...Let's call her Tohru. You clearly made her in Tohru's image anyway."
The dragon maid nodded.
"Thank you, Master."
Hephaestus explained,
"Tohru is an automatic dragon automaton based on biological-Teigu principles-but she's far more than that. She has three forms."
"The one you see now is her human form. Another is her dragon form."
Tohru nodded. Light surged around her body.
In the blink of an eye, she transformed into a massive, genuine dragon-larger than the original, radiating terrifying magical pressure.
"Then what's the third?" Emiya asked.
Hephaestus glanced at Tohru.
The dragon shone again-and the light wrapped around Emiya.
When it faded, Emiya found himself clad in a full set of sleek, armored equipment.
"This is her third form," Hephaestus said. "Armor mode."
Emiya stared in amazement.
The dragon becoming armor was far beyond his expectations.
Karyuusai Shouko added calmly,
"That's not all. The armor includes a weapon."
At Emiya's waist was a sword.
He drew it-the weight and balance were perfect.
"It can change form according to the user's will."
The blade shifted smoothly-longsword, bow, spear, mace-then split into two pistols.
They didn't fire bullets.
They fired magic.
As long as Emiya had mana, the guns would never run dry.
"This is insane," Emiya muttered.
Medea spoke softly,
"Tohru also has powerful defenses, rapid regeneration, and an evolution ability."
"Like Demon's Extract?" Emiya asked.
"No. Far superior," Medea replied.
"She doesn't rely on a master. She learns on her own-absorbing magic, Nen, Haki... evolving independently."
"One day, if she survives long enough, she could reach the level of a true god."
Emiya exhaled slowly.
"...That's incredible."
Medea smiled.
"We made her for you, darling. Of course it had to be special."
"Thank you."
The armor dissolved, returning Tohru to her human form.
"From now on, take care of me," Emiya said.
"I will, Master," Tohru replied calmly.
Her personality was nothing like the original Tohru-quiet, composed, emotionless.
Emiya didn't mind at all.
A capable maid was a blessing.
He immediately showed Tohru to the group chat.
Chaos erupted.
Loki: "I want one!! I want one so bad!!"
Rin Tohsaka: "Disgusting old man. Turning even automatons into women-typical."
Emiya: "Be glad I didn't ask for one in your image. Say one more word and I'll have Shouko make a Rin doll."
Rin: "AHHH-shut up!!"
Emiya: "Shouko, make me one tomorrow-"
Rin: "I'M SORRY I WAS WRONG!!"
Loki: "I want a dragon maid too!!"
Emiya smiled faintly.
Desires, once awakened, were hard to stop.
