Emiya rattled on for a while, then let out a long sigh.

He felt great.

Looking at the confused faces around him-Shirou Emiya, Rin Tohsaka, and Archer included-Emiya finally understood the joy of spoiling.

No wonder so many people liked doing it.

It was genuinely satisfying.

Rin Tohsaka stayed confused for a moment before it finally hit her.

She stared at Emiya.

"Why... why do you know all of this?"

"Well, it's a little complicated to explain," Emiya said.

Archer spoke coldly.

"It's fine. We have plenty of time."

"Oh?" Emiya glanced at him.

"Are you telling me what to do?"

Archer: ...

"By the way," Emiya continued, "you still haven't answered my question. Which timeline did you come back from?"

Archer snorted and clearly didn't want to deal with him.

Emiya thought for a moment, then turned to Rin Tohsaka.

"Aren't you curious?"

"Well, that..." Rin glanced at Archer, then at Shirou.

"I guess I am a little curious. My classmate becoming a Heroic Spirit in the future and all."

"Right? Right?" Emiya nodded along.

Honestly, he was curious too.

Rin turned to her Servant.

Archer stiffened.

"You're not planning to use a Command Spell for something like this, are you?"

Rin's expression froze.

"Who would use a Command Spell for something like this?"

She would never admit that she had absolutely just considered it.

Seeing her back down, Emiya clicked his tongue.

"It's just a Command Spell. What's there to hesitate over? Here, I'll give you a few."

He held out his right hand.

Nine Command Spells were visible.

Rin Tohsaka froze.

"How do you have so many Command Spells?"

Archer reacted instantly, pulling Rin behind him.

"Be careful. Those three are his Servants."

"That's right," Emiya said, pointing at them.

"These three are for Medea, these three are for CĂș Chulainn, and these three are for Artoria."

CĂș Chulainn and the others didn't stop him from revealing their true names.

Archer, being a Heroic Spirit from the future, wasn't unfamiliar with them anyway.

Rin's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

Her expression collapsed into her signature "expression face."

"How is this even possible? How can you afford to maintain three Servants by yourself?"

"It's only three," Emiya said calmly.

"If I wasn't worried about the Holy Grail War's hidden rules, I could've contracted seven on my own."

"Hidden rules?" Rin asked immediately.

"What hidden rules?"

Archer gave a wry smile and shook his head.

"I don't know either."

"I've never heard of that," he added silently.

"The so-called hidden rule," Emiya explained, "is that when all seven Servants belong to the same faction, the Holy Grail selects seven other Masters and turns it into a seven-on-seven Holy Grail War."

Rin Tohsaka: ...

Archer: ...

"How do you even know something like that?" Rin said.

"As far as I know, this has never happened in history."

"It traces back to the Third Holy Grail War," Emiya said.

"A magus named Darnic used Nazi support to wipe out the Tohsaka, Matou, and Einzbern families, stole the Holy Grail, and took it to Romania."

"After breaking away from the Nazis, he hid the Greater Grail in his family's castle," Emiya continued.

"He founded the Yggdmillennia family, gathered a group of fallen magi, and eventually used the Grail to summon seven Servants and declare war on the Clock Tower."

"That triggered the hidden rule," he finished.

"A seven-on-seven war."

Rin's mouth twitched.

"This had to be a parallel world, right?"

In this world, the Holy Grail had never left Fuyuki City. Not once in hundreds of years.

Emiya nodded.

"That's right. A parallel world."

Rin rubbed her temples.

"First the three routes, now this. Why do you know what happens in other worlds?"

"Well-"

"I get it," Rin interrupted.

"Complicated to explain, right?"

"Exactly," Emiya said, nodding in approval.

"You learn fast."

Rin Tohsaka: ...

Archer finally spoke again.

"Then why are you interfering in this Holy Grail War when you shouldn't even be part of it?"

"Is there something wrong with this war?"

Emiya shook his head without hesitation.

"No. I just wanted to participate."

Kanshou and Bakuya appeared in Archer's hands.

"Then we're enemies."

Emiya froze.

He pointed at the three Servants beside him.

"Are you sure you want to be my enemy?"

CĂș Chulainn grinned, gripping Gae Bolg.

"Don't interfere. This guy's my prey."

Rin stepped forward immediately.

"Wait. I haven't decided to be your enemy yet."

She kicked Archer's leg.

"Don't go making enemies for me!"

Three Servants.

One was Artoria, known worldwide.

One was the Irish Hound.

One was a ruthless witch.

If they fought, she would be crushed.

Archer went silent.

Rin smiled and looked at Emiya.

"Alright. I understand the situation. Let's form an alliance, Sir Emiya."

"Sounds good," Emiya replied.

"I don't refuse people with good intentions. Let's go inside and talk."

He turned and acted like the host, inviting Rin and Archer in.

Shirou Emiya: ...

Once everyone entered, they sat around the living room table.

Emiya and Rin faced each other.

Medea sat beside Emiya, followed by Artoria and CĂș Chulainn.

Rin had only Archer.

Shirou ended up sitting between the two sides.

"Um..." Shirou raised his hand.

"I've heard a lot, but I'm still confused. Could you explain it in more detail?"

"No," Rin said instantly.

"You're just an outsider. Don't worry, I'll erase your memory later."

"He's not an outsider," Emiya said.

"What?" Rin froze.

"He's actually Artoria's real Master," Emiya continued.

"After summoning her, he fell into my trap and had to transfer the contract to me."

Rin Tohsaka: ...

She stared at Archer.

Archer nodded.

"That's right. During the Fifth Holy Grail War, my Servant was Artoria."

"But the history I know has been completely messed up."

Rin grabbed her head.

"Why didn't you tell me something this important?"

If she had known, she could have planned calmly.

She might have even won.

Archer stayed silent.

"He didn't tell you because he didn't want you to get the Holy Grail," Emiya said.

"That thing's already corrupted."

"Corrupted?" Rin caught the keyword instantly.

Emiya nodded.

"Back in the Third Holy Grail War, the Einzbern family summoned an Avenger. His name was-"

Several minutes later, Emiya finished explaining the truth.

Rin spoke quietly.

"So the Holy Grail I've been chasing can't grant wishes at all?"

Archer nodded.

"That's right."

Rin inhaled deeply, then slowly exhaled.

"I see. I must be dreaming, right?"

"I haven't woken up yet."

"You've just received too much information at once," Emiya said.

"Your brain short-circuited."

"Whose brain short-circuited?!" Rin slammed the table and stood up.

"How am I supposed to accept all this in one day?"

Emiya laughed.

That laugh irritated her.

She looked down at him.

"Then why are you still participating if the Holy Grail is corrupted?"

"To purify it," Emiya replied.

"What?" Rin exclaimed.

"You can purify it?"

"Who are you looking down on?" Emiya pointed at Medea.

"This is Hecate's student. A magus from the Age of Gods. A practitioner of ancient mysteries."

"She's my one-of-a-kind Caster."

"To be honest," he continued, "among all magus-class Heroic Spirits, my Medea is top-tier."

"Maybe she's not on the level of Grand Caster Solomon."

"But she's definitely not worse than Merlin."

Medea's face reddened.

She felt her Master was praising her a little too much.

Rin stared in disbelief.

"Are you joking? Medea is strong, sure, but she can't compare to Archmage Merlin."

Emiya snorted.

"Don't believe me? Ask Artoria."

"How can someone who bites his tongue while chanting spells be better than my Medea?"

Rin felt like she had just heard something absurd.

Merlin.

Biting his tongue.

She looked at Artoria.

Artoria hesitated.

As the King of Knights, she didn't like speaking ill of others.

But Emiya wasn't wrong.

"That's true," she admitted.

"In terms of magic, Merlin is indeed a little..."

She didn't finish.

No one needed her to.
