Chapter 12 - Morning Claim

Morning Wake-Up

The first light of morning seeped through the blinds, casting soft shadows across the dorm. Kaylee stirred, blinking against the brightness, and immediately felt the warmth beneath her. She froze for a heartbeat. Kayden's chest was beneath her, and his arm draped possessively across her waist. Her cheeks flushed, and her body hummed with the memory of last night.

Her mind screamed at her to move, to push away, but her body betrayed her, every nerve buzzing with remembered touches and whispered words. She swallowed hard, heart racing.

Kayden's eyes fluttered open, calm and steady, a faint smirk tugging at his lips as he felt her shift.

"Good morning, princess," he murmured. "Did you sleep well?"

"I… I can get up," she whispered, trying to slide away. Kayden's grip tightened subtly, holding her in place.

"Not so fast," he said low, teasing but firm. "Breakfast first, then school. You are staying right here until we leave, and I will be watching you the whole time."

Kadeem, lounging lazily nearby, smirked. "You are adorable when you are flustered."

Kadin leaned close and brushed her arm gently. "Every shiver and every twitch belongs to us. Don't forget it."

Kaden added, calm but sharp-eyed, "Every reaction is noted. You are already ours, princess."

Kaylee's cheeks burned hotter. She hated how easily their presence dominated her thoughts, how her pulse raced under their attention, and how much her body betrayed her mind.

The brothers prepared breakfast with deliberate, possessive attention. Every subtle brush of a hand, every teasing glance, made Kaylee's pulse spike.

Kadeem nudged her shoulder while passing her a plate. "Watch where you sit, princess. I do not want to catch you off guard."

Kadin leaned close as she poured juice. "Pour slowly. You're making it too easy for us to enjoy watching you."

Kaden observed quietly, noting every blush, every flinch.

Kayden reached over, brushing his hand along hers while helping with a plate. "Every heartbeat is ours, princess," he murmured.

She tried to focus on the toast in front of her, but every subtle touch, every smirk, made it impossible. Her body shivered, her lips parting slightly without realizing it.

Once Kaylee slipped into her classroom, the four brothers moved with silent precision toward the principal's office. Their presence alone made the hallways feel smaller. Even though they were just teens in campus, the shadow of their father—the lord of all mafia gangs—made them utterly dangerous.

The principal's pulse raced as they stepped into his office. He cleared his throat, stammering. "Ka… Ka… Kayden?" His eyes locked on Kaden. "And the… boys… how… may we… sorry… I… help you?"

The brothers exchanged a dark, amused chuckle.

"Dear Principal," Kadeem said smoothly, "you're staring at Kaden, not Kayden."

"Oh! Sorry… guess you're Kayden," the principal said, flustered, eyes darting.

Kayden smirked faintly. "Ok… ok. Whoever is Kayden is not the reason why we're here. Just listen carefully."

Kadin leaned forward. "We know you punish students for breaking rules, but Kaylee is exceptional."

"I don't want this issue to reach her parents, and I don't want a single strand of her hair hurt. That's why we're here," Kaden added.

Kadeem's eyes bored into the principal. "Stay clear. Kaylee is our business. Ignore this, and it won't be pleasant."

Kaden chuckled low. "We're not here to threaten… technically."

Kayden stepped closer, voice smooth but sharp. "Kaylee is off-limits. No punishment. No calls to her parents. Ignore our warning… and I know where to start with you."

The principal swallowed hard. "Umm… Mr. Kadeem, I… I understand. Nothing will happen to Miss Kaylee."

"Fair enough," Kadin said, straightening. "We have a class to attend."

"And don't send that 'bitchy' teacher into my class if she doesn't want to see the other side of me," Kaden added, playful yet deadly.

"Yes… Mr… Miles," the principal replied, still trying to figure out who was who.

The brothers gave him a tight, menacing smile and left. Kaylee remained unaware, focused on her notes, completely oblivious to the lethal—and darkly humorous—power play that had just unfolded on her behalf.

By the time Kaylee exited her classroom, the four brothers were waiting at the hall entrance. Their presence alone cleared a path; students instinctively stepped aside. She caught the whispers of her friends behind her. "Kaylee! What's going on? Who are they?"

Kayden's dark gaze swept over her, and without hesitation, he lifted her effortlessly into his arms.

"Kaylee, sit tight. Lunch will be… interesting," he murmured, faint smirk tugging at his lips.

Kadeem leaned casually against the wall, smirk sharp, while Kadin and Kaden followed closely, keeping curious students at a cautious distance. Even though they were just teens, the aura of mafia danger from their father radiated around them, making everyone step back instinctively.

Kaylee's cheeks flushed. Every step with Kayden holding her was a statement: she was theirs, publicly and completely.

Subtle teasing continued:

Kadeem brushed her waist lightly as they passed students, daring her to react. She flinched, heart racing, and he chuckled darkly.

Kadin leaned close, whispering how obedient she looked, breath grazing her ear, sending shivers down her spine.

Kaden observed quietly, noting every twitch of her fingers, every hesitant glance, smirk dark and satisfied.

Kayden's firm hold reminded her she couldn't escape, though she tried to subtly shift away, only pressing herself closer.

At their usual courtyard spot, Kayden gently lowered her onto the bench but kept one hand possessively at her waist. Kadeem plopped across from her, eyes glinting. "Still trying to act like you're in control, princess? Cute."

"I… I'm not—" she whispered, cheeks blazing.

Kayden's dark, slow glance silenced her instantly.

"You feel it, don't you?" he murmured. "The way your body wants this… wants us."

She tried to avert her eyes, but Kadin's hand brushed hers lightly, holding her gaze. "Stop pretending," he whispered softly.

Kaden smirked. "Every twitch, every flinch—it's ours to notice. Don't think you can hide it."

Even eating became charged: hands brushing hers, whispered comments, fleeting touches on her shoulder. Each subtle move reminded her: she belonged to them.

By the end of lunch, Kaylee's cheeks burned, heart raced, and her mind spun from the awareness of how completely the K4 brothers dominated her presence—even in public.
