---------

Two whole consecutive weeks had elapsed since Hancock affirmed the Blue Eyed pirates to camp in Amazon Lily before their voyage into the Grand Line whereas the trio indulge in relentless training.

Jake crashed into the floor gasping intensively for breath, sweats streaming down his face, adrenaline coursing through his veins as he gazed at the azure sky. "Am I going to die here?"

"No, you won't. You just have to endure, I mean… are you this feeble?" One of the Kuja warriors smirks, teasing Jake playfully after getting him to run circuits through the forest repeatedly.

"You bastard!" Jake cursed, wiping the sweats away from his brows. "Is it this hard to obtain the Armament?"

"Yes. Seeing the stage you guys are at this moment, it might take a while for you to obtain Armament Haki." She gestured.

"Well, that's good news," he said, "if time runs against us here, then we'll obtain it definitely in the Grand Line."

"Exactly." She gave him a thumbs up. "Now get your ass up and let's continue."

Jake and Ryuken spent the whole two weeks training with the Kuja warriors in order to boost their stamina and also to learn the basics of obtaining the Armament Haki.

Gojo, on the other hand, was training solo. Occasionally, he'll spar a friendly spar with the Kuja warriors which he always won without deliberating on his Infinity and sometimes, he'll join his crewmates to learn the basics of Armament Haki.

Despite his given prowess, he needs Haki in order to inflict damage to a Logia user. But something felt off within him. He noticed for the few days he'd been sparring with the Kuja warriors, even without using any of his abilities, he was able to read and also felt the presence of his opponent blindedly.

"Hey, are you kidding me right now?" He questioned himself with a smirk, unable to hold in his joy as he realized he'd obtained the Observation Haki.

"Don't get cocky, okay," he calmed himself, "I might still be at stage 1 so let's try it out." He jolted off from his position and instantly teleported to where his crewmates were.

Swoosh!

The air around him blew aggressively for a bit, causing the dried leaves on the floor to hover for a few seconds.

The Kuja jolted in stupor, staring at the latter who'd just appeared from nowhere. "What the hell just happened?" Rindo pointed her finger.

"This airhead." Ryuken hissed, shoving his sword above his shoulders.

"Did you just teleport here?" Ran swallowed before hopping into the air, curiosity intensifying to know what ability he'd just displayed or was it a common ability all men are capable of?

She lumped herself forward while Gojo dodged, moving sideways. "Guys, why don't you try hitting me for a sec?"

"Okay." Jake withdrew his pistol that was strapped beside his waist and fired straight at his captain's chest which was easily dodged.

"Left leg, roundhouse kick, followed by an uppercut," Gojo murmured with a smirk as Ryuken demonstrated the exact move Gojo had just transpired.

"Holy shit!" Ryuken whistled.

"Yop, that's it! I think I just unbarred my Observation Haki." He said with a clenched fist.

"That's crazy!" Marguerite hummed, "to think you'll be able to grasp a hold of it in a few days is just… unbelievable!"

Gojo lunged forward with a clenched fist, his grin never fading away from his lips. He had taken a step further and obtained Haki, the power system of this world that transcends above all even devil fruits.

Within the palace, Boa Hancock lay feverishly upon her bed, with Elder Nyon stationed solemnly beside her.

She laid on the bed with elder Nyon beside her. She felt Gojo had unlatched Observation, whereas her temperature was skyrocketed alarmingly.

Her brows furrowed, drenched in sweat; her chest heave with exasperation while she fought for each breath.

"Am I going to die?" Hancock tilted her neck sideways to glance at the former empress of Amazon Lily as she uttered in agony.

"You might." Elder Nyon spared no time muttering the truth in order for Hancock to return back to reality.

"You're sick and it might lead you to your death, Hancock." She gestured.

"I'm sick?" Hancock's voice became miniature. "What kind of sickness is this?"

"It's called the…love sickness. It is a particular disease that seems to be contracted by the empresses of the Kuja tribe. It is like what they say in the east, love is always a hurricane."

Hancock gasped for breath, "are you testifying I'm in love?"

"Yes, it seems you've fallen in love."

"Me? In love? But who would that be?"

A moment of silence lingered in the air before Nyon cracked her throat. "That man, Satoru Gojo, you've fallen in love with him."

The name resonated in her head as she let out a low moan. "You mean I have fallen in love with a pirate?" Her heart pounded at the speed of light like it's about to flare up within her chest. The thought of Gojo lingered through her head as she initiated panting heavily which evoked her body temperature to outburst.

"You must stop, Hancock! Don't think about that man anymore or less you'll die!" Nyon exclaimed in terror, knowing full well she was a victim of the said disease back in the days of her being the empress of Amazon Lily.

She knew if she hadn't left the island, she would've died after falling in love with Gol D. Roger.

"If you can't stop yourself from deliberating about Gojo, then you've to leave this island as soon as possible if you legitimately want to live!"

Gloriosa Nyon implied on Hancock's behalf suggesting she would've to accept her emotions and love for Gojo if she ever wished to survive.

"I can't leave this island," Hancock's voice was solemn, "if I want to die then I'll die beside him." She gestured, not nullifying her egoism.

Gloriosa Nyon was enraged by Hancock's behavior. "What the hell do you think you're spurting out?" Her voice echoed throughout the room as it engendered the chaperone to jolt in awe.

The two Kuja warriors safeguarding the room from outside immediately bang the door twice. "Is everything alright in there?" They squawk.

"Everything is going well..." Glorosia interjected. "Satoru," she yelled, "get him here right now!" Despite her old age, she raged with gritted teeth glaring at the empress on her death bed.

The warriors standing at the other end of the towering door immediately saluted as they sprinted to fetch the pirate scrutiny at once.

'Love is a poison much more dangerous than a knife.'

The Kuja warriors spotted the pirate crew a few metres away from them with other Kuja tribes laughing and chatting.

'What the hell are they discussing?' One of them mused to herself before getting into the radar of the latter.

"Hmm? What got you so worried?" Ran raised an eyebrow.

"It's an emergency. Elder Nyon is asking for your presence at the palace right now, Satoru." She relayed the message given to her.

"Right about time it was getting interesting." Gojo argued, fizzling his hair. "Alright, I'll get going."

In a split second, his silhouette vanished, hoisting the sand around them hovering.

"He did it again, he vanished." Marguerite hummed with a grin, "he's so interesting."

Gojo's figure appeared before the towering door demarcating himself from the empress. Exhaling enough oxygen, he knocked at the door.

"Come in."

He heard the voice of elder Nyon at the other side of the door before a loud thud emanated as he slid the door open.

"Awww."

A loud moan escaped Hancock's lips as she saw the figure of the latter she was in love with approaching her at a despicable motion.

"Hancock? Are you alright?" Gojo matched at her, his face a few metres away from hers.

"Stand back, Satoru." Gloriosa ordered. "She's in a state of life and death and it involves your whole being."

"Who? Me?" Gojo glanced at his rear but saw no particular person. "What do you mean?" His voice became solid.

"Hancock, right here, is suffering from a disease called love sickness."

"Disease? Love sickness? What's that?"

'Is he an airhead? Can't he see she's all into him?' She thought to herself. "Sailing into this island, your very being has brought the empress into a state where she always thinks about you and has fallen in love with you."

Another light moan escaped Hancock's lips whereas she was undergoing pain.

'Did I hear that correctly? An empress in love with me?'

Gojo's jaw dropped instantly, his voice was nowhere to be found as he processed the word in his brain. "S-she's in love with me?" He pointed at the helpless Hancock laying on her death bed.

"This isn't a mere case, Satoru. This disease is like a hurricane that passes down towards every empress of Amazon Lily. It is forbidden for an empress to fall in love whereas it'll lead to her death if she declined her emotions for said latter or if the victim is around the radar of the empress."

A moment of silence lingered in the atmosphere. "So in other words, if I don't leave this island she's destined to die?"

"Yes. But it also can be prevented if the empress accepts her feelings for you whereas both victims should be together for a lifetime."

"What about a cure? Haven't any other late empress found one?"

"It doesn't have a cure, Satoru. That's why it became a law. Men are banned from entering into the island."

"Don't go." Hancock whispered silently.

"Fine. I'll tell my crew we'll be leaving first thing tomorrow." Gojo said, his voice exhibiting affliction.

"Thank you for your understanding, Satoru. You're a man of your word."
