Chapter 29 - A New World, A New Beginning

Wiliaquo: He wandered within the new timeline, walking around across a frozen world. "So this is what happens with uncontrolled elements clashing..." He felt the snow between his fingertips, something he hadn't really interacted with before.

Tiffany: She placed her hand against ice shards, and her hand shivered at the touch. "Are we sure this is the only place in the timeline with solid ground? Can't we make a new spot?"

Monse: She crossed her arms, "I'm sorry, sweetie, but that was only possible when Eartakiel was still around. With him gone, that's rather hard."

Wiliaquo: He turned to look between the two of them, looking down at the ground before speaking up, "Tiff, can you give your mom and me a moment to speak?" Tiffany turned to look between the two and walked away to explore the area.

Monse: Her look of concern grew, "Yes, my love?"

Wiliaquo: He shook his head, "I have something serious to ask you."

Monse: Her expression softened as she walked closer to him to hold his hand. "You can ask me anything, Wiliaquo."

Wiliaquo: "..." He took a deep breath, before staring into her eyes, "I want to have a child with you."

Monse: Her fingers tightened around his. She just stared at him, eyes wide, breath coming in little white puffs that hung between them. "A-A child?" Her hands were shaking a bit, taken aback by his statement.

Wiliaquo: "If we are to start a new beginning, in a new world, I would want to grow our family together. Have two heirs to our legacies."

Monse: "I-I am not even sure if we can have a child Wiliaquo, no two elementals have ever tried let alone two different ones!" Her voice turned to a bit of panic.

Wiliaquo: He rubbed her hair, attempting to comfort her, "Elemental fusion, we can attempt to make a child born from the two of our forces combining together."

Monse: "And what of the world we live in?! How could we just bring a child into this chaotic mess we are in!" She thought for a moment, before pushing Wiliaquo back, "Are you just trying to have a child with me because you dont have an hier?!" Her eyes started to water, the ice on the planet shook.

Wiliaquo: He steadied himself after her shove, the wind around him flickering in sharp pulses. He was afraid of dying, he was afraid that his essence would drift into the nothingness, but when he looked into her eyes he saw the real truth, and that is what he decided to speak. "Monse… no. I would never use you like that." His voice softened, almost breaking. "I want a child because I want us to continue. Not my name. Not my legacy. Ours."

He stepped forward slowly, careful not to startle her, his hands open at his sides. "If we cannot have one, then so be it. If you do not want one, then I will never ask again. But don't believe I see you as a vessel for heirs. You are my partner. My equal. The one I chose."

He glanced around at the frozen, fractured world. "And yes… the world is broken. But if we wait for perfection, we will wait forever. Sometimes new life is the only way a world begins to heal."

He lowered his gaze, voice quieter. "But I won't force this. I only wanted to dream with you. If that dream frightens you… tell me, Monse. I will walk with you either way."

Monse: Her sadness calmed itself when she heard him, staring at her lover become upset, reaching a hand out towards him, "Wiliaquo...I-I..."

Before she could say anything else, she heard Tiffany scream in the distance. The two focused their attention towards her scream, coming from a deep crystal ice cave. "TIFFANY?!" She ran into the cave, sliding down deeper.

Wiliaquo: "Monse wait! Damn it!" He blasted himself forward with his wind, sliding down in the cave after her. He landed harshly in a large opening, charging gusts of wind within his hands, "What happened?!" His eyes widened at what stood before him.

The chamber opened into a cathedral of ice, its walls shimmering with trapped starlight. Razor-sharp crystals jutted from the ground and ceiling like the teeth of some colossal, frozen beast. Snowflakes drifted in slow spirals, untouched by any breeze.

Tiffany stood backed against a pillar of blue crystal, her breathing fast and unsteady. Her hands were raised defensively, frost forming around her fingertips from panic alone.

Before her, hunched in the center of the cavern, was a massive ice dragon. Its body crawled with veins of glowing blue, each breath a plume of frost that filled the air with a low, rumbling hiss. When its head turned toward the newcomers, its eyes burned with cold, ancient intelligence. Its wings stretch wide like frozen storm clouds, thin, glassy membranes veined with pale energy that pulse faintly with each breath. Long, serrated spines run down its back, each one shaped like a sharpened icicle ready to snap and pierce.

Monse: She skidded to a stop beside Tiffany, throwing an arm in front of her daughter. "Get behind me!" Her voice echoed sharply against the cavern walls.

The dragon's claws clicked on the crystalline floor as it shifted, lowering its head, the sound like cracking glaciers.

Wiliaquo: His winds flared brighter, swirling around him in protective spirals. "Monse… stay close. This creature isn't natural, its aura is twisted." The air hummed violently as he raised both hands, ready to strike if needed. "Tiffany, did it hurt you?"

Tiffany: She shook her head quickly, eyes wide. "N-No… it just appeared out of the ice. I didn't even hear it move."

????: The dragon lowered her massive, crystalline head even further, claws curling inward as if trying to make herself smaller. Her voice trembled through the cavern, echoing like wind inside frozen stone. "W-Wait… please. I do not mean you any harm."

Monse: Her stance softened a fraction, though she kept her arm protectively in front of Tiffany. "You can speak…?" Her breath shivered in the cold air.

????: The dragon's icy wings folded tight against her body, frost drifting from the joints like powdered snow. "Y-Yes… I can. I have no desire to fight you. I only sensed… warmth." Her glowing eyes flicked between Monse, Tiffany, and Wiliaquo. "I have not felt warmth in so long."

Wiliaquo: "Why did you appear from the ice? What are you doing here?" The winds swirling around his hands eased, though they did not disappear.

????: The light in her chest pulsed like a slow heartbeat beneath layers of translucent ice. "I awakened when the timelines fractured. This world shifted, and I was left alone in the darkness beneath it." She lowered her head, her voice cracking softly. "I sensed a great sadness and conflict."

Wiliaquo: He narrowed his eyes slightly. "Sadness and conflict from whom?"

????: A slow plume of frost drifted from her snout. "From all three of you. Your grief struck the air like a storm. Your fear cracked the ice. Your uncertainty echoed through every frozen chamber of this cave."

Monse: She stiffened, her arm slightly in front of Tiffany. "We didn't mean to disturb anything here. We did not even know this place existed."

????: Her glowing eyes softened. "Few do. This world reshaped itself when the timelines broke. I became trapped beneath its surface. And when I felt your turmoil, I mistook it for a cry for help."

Tiffany: "So you came because you thought one of us needed you?"

????: She nodded, her wings curling inward. "Loneliness makes the heart sensitive. Even a dragon's. I feared something here was suffering as I have suffered."She paused, then added gently, "My name is Serayne. Since you have found me… you deserve to know that much."

Wiliaquo: He exhaled, tension easing from his stance. "We were not aware our emotions could reach someone like you, Serayne."

Serayne: "In a fractured world," she murmured, "everything echoes deeper than it should."

Tiffany: She approached Serayne, placing her hand on the gentle giants snout. She smiled softly as she pet the dragon. "Truer words could not have been spoken..."

Monse: She turned toward's Wiliaquo, watching as his expression softened once he knew Tiffany was safe. She thought on what he said before taking his hand gently, "Wiliaquo."

Wiliaquo: He turned to face her, his eyebrows raised, "Yes Monse?"

Monse: She pulled him into a tight hug, and whispered, "Yes...Yes I will have a child with you..."

Wiliaquo: He stood still for a moment, processesing what she said, before hugging her back tightly, tears streamed down his face. "Thank you...My Love..."
