Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 - Dreaming of You

Chapter 16 - Dreaming of You

Night falls on the island, and after more than 60 hours awake, the campers have finally collapsed into a deep, uncontrollable sleep.

The cabins are completely silent, the sound of the wind mingling with the gentle waves, creating an atmosphere of absolute rest.

The camera pans across the campers' faces, showing how they have all fallen into a total immersion in the world of dreams.

The images become blurred, and little by little, each character is immersed in their own dreamlike universe...

Gwen's Dream - Arrival at the Haunted House

Dense fog covers the ground as Gwen walks alone along a path of crooked stones.

She wears a red dress, similar to the one Lydia wears in the Beetlejuice movie, her hair tied back over her face as she looks at the house before her.

It's a twisted mansion, with slanted windows, massive doors, and dim lighting that makes it look like something out of a stylized nightmare.

When she opens the door, she finds two spectral figures waiting for her.

Chris and Chef, dressed as the two Maitlan ghosts from the original story.

Chef wears an old-fashioned dress, her hair styled in exaggerated curls.

Chris is wearing a dusty suit, crossing his arms in an annoyed manner.

"Welcome, tragic girl! You're in the house of the dead with a huge problem," Chris said.

Chef nods dramatically.

"And don't go to the forbidden room. Nothing good awaits you there," said the Chef.

Gwen watches them skeptically.

"Uh-huh... Now what?" said Gwen.

Chris shrugs.

"Now you deal with what's coming," Chris said.

Gwen frowns and moves through the house, ignoring the warnings.

Gwen ventures into the room Chef said she shouldn't enter.

Upon opening it, he finds a large model of a miniature town, placed on a table.

The streets are narrow, the houses crooked, with streetlights that flicker as if they were alive.

As Gwen leans in to take a closer look... something moves within the village.

A small man in an extravagant suit and with wild hair appears jumping between the buildings.

It's Cody, but with Beetlejuice's appearance, his striped suit, his mocking smile, his chaotic energy.

The miniature town was a place that didn't follow any logic and somehow she was inside it.

The houses changed shape, the trees danced in the wind, and the ground shifted like a chessboard that constantly changed patterns.

Cody spun around excitedly, his arms flung wide as he introduced the place as if he were hosting some absurd theme park.

"Welcome to the kingdom where reality makes no sense and the fun never ends!" Cody said, jumping into a fountain that began to spray colorful sparks instead of water.

Gwen crossed her arms, watching him with a neutral expression.

"You've got a lot of energy for someone who's technically a miniature ghost," Gwen said, raising an eyebrow.

"It's part of the package," Cody said, giving an exaggerated bow.

The townspeople, spectral creatures with twisted shapes and glowing eyes, slowly appeared, applauding their new visitor.

"Time to hit the town! Hold on, Goth Queen, because there are no breaks here," Cody said, taking Gwen's hand before she could protest.

The houses suddenly tilted, forming a kind of elevated circuit.

The streets disappeared, and the only path was the roofs of the buildings, which were constantly moving.

"The first rule here is: if you can reach it, use it as a path," Cody said, jumping over a chimney.

"Oh, cool. Cheap video game logic," Gwen said, scanning the terrain before deciding to follow him.

As they moved forward, the rooftops shifted, forcing them to improvise each move.

"Come on, losing is not an option!" Cody shouted, spinning in the air before landing on a hanging awning.

Gwen jumped behind him, landing with a precise movement.

"This isn't so bad," Gwen said, with a slight smile of satisfaction.

Just when he thought he had the rhythm under control, the roof beneath his feet tilted abruptly, causing him to have to jump onto a flying carousel to avoid falling.

"Now you're in the game!" Cody said, laughing at her reaction.

After landing in the central square, the townspeople set up a giant table with floating saucers.

The plates moved by themselves, changing appearance and color every time someone approached.

"Rule number two: nothing tastes like it looks," Cody said, taking a dish that looked like meat but at first bite, tasted like melon.

Gwen grabbed a small dark cake, expecting a strong flavor... but ended up tasting cotton candy with a hint of salt.

"This is weird. But not all that bad," Gwen said, looking at him curiously.

"That's the spirit! If everything is weird, then nothing is boring," Cody said, picking up a glass where the liquid changed color depending on the angle you looked at it.

"Your logic is stranger than this town," Gwen said, taking another bite.

As the town filled with floating fireworks, Cody jumped from a tower, holding a giant umbrella.

"Gravity is optional here!" Cody said, slowly descending as if in slow motion.

Gwen looked down, then at the umbrella, and finally sighed before taking her own.

"This is ridiculous," Gwen said, before jumping.

But when it fell, the umbrella worked perfectly, floating as if it actually controlled the air around it.

"See! It's just a matter of attitude!" Cody said, spinning in the air as he landed softly on the ground.

Gwen calmly descended, her expression still assessing, but with a small glimmer of amusement in her eyes.

"It wasn't so bad," Gwen said, putting away the umbrella.

"I knew it, now there's only one place left to go," Cody said, with a wink.

Cody jumped with boundless energy, his pinstriped suit shining in an unreal light as he took Gwen's hand.

"Come on, Goth Queen! It's time for an adventure you'll never forget," Cody said, dragging her through the miniature town.

The music started up out of nowhere, the colors became more vibrant, and suddenly, they found themselves in a theatrical setting where everything seemed to move with a life of its own.

"I'm not sure how good an idea this is," Gwen said, looking around with a mixture of curiosity and doubt.

"Bah! Don't overthink it, just go with the flow," Cody said, leading her toward a path of flashing lights.

The buildings spun around as if they were celebrating, and then, before them... appeared a church with a huge cake in front of the entrance.

"Why do I feel like this is going to go wrong?" Gwen said, frowning as her dress began to transform.

The sleeves became fuller, the fabric lit up with a sepulchral white hue, and before he could react... Cody was already standing at the altar in an equally dramatic outfit.

"Everyone, it's time to seal our fate! Let the ceremony begin!" Cody shouted, as the campers appeared as spectators, clapping enthusiastically.

Gwen looked around, trying to process the situation.

"This is completely absurd," Gwen muttered, but something in her face betrayed that she was amused by the situation, even though she didn't want to admit it.

The father, a shadowy figure with a barely visible face, held up the book solemnly.

"Young Cody, declare your vows," said the father, looking at the groom expectantly.

"Oh, absolutely," Cody said, dusting off his suit with exaggeration before speaking with his trademark energy.

"I promise a life full of chaos, fun, and impossible challenges. I promise to never let boredom get to us, because together we'll be a glorious mess," Cody said, pointing at Gwen with a confident smile.

Gwen raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms.

"Well... at least you're honest," Gwen said, before taking a breath and saying her piece.

"I promise to put up with your nonsense to a certain extent. I promise I'll never let this turn into a saccharine story, but if we're going down, at least we'll do it in style," Gwen said, a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

The father closed the book tightly.

"You may seal the pact," said the father, indicating the final stage of the ceremony.

Cody didn't hesitate to lean towards Gwen, with a bold smile.

"It's going to be legendary," Cody said, before joining his lips with hers in a kiss.

Gwen was shocked for a second, but then felt the world around her slowly begin to fade away.

The scene faded to black, and the dream came to an end.

Lindsay's Dream - A Fairytale Story

Lindsay slowly opens her eyes, feeling the fresh air coming through the window of her tower.

Her hair is long and golden, more voluminous than necessary, shining with a magical light.

The room is decorated in pastel colors, with mirrors reflecting your image at every angle.

The seagull with the Total Drama plastic perches on the dresser, looking at her with a critical expression.

Chris, dressed in an elegant robe, appears in the doorway with a fake smile, acting like his manipulative mother.

"Lindsay, darling, why are you so restless?" said Chris, walking slowly toward her.

"It's just... I feel like there's something else out there," Lindsay said, touching the window with her fingertips.

"Oh, nonsense. Here's everything you need," Chris said, leaning toward her.

"But... I've never left here," Lindsay said, looking at her reflection curiously.

Chris gave a quiet but calculating laugh.

"Because you don't need to. The world out there is a mess... full of people who don't understand your greatness," Chris said, smoothing Lindsay's hair protectively.

The seagull turns its head with obvious suspicion, as if it doesn't believe a word.

Just when Lindsay thought her life was sealed in that tower, Cody burst into the room, stumbling as he entered.

"Ow! Why do they have such small windows?" Cody said, rubbing his arm after hitting the ground.

Lindsay blinked, surprised to see a stranger in her room.

"An intruder!" Lindsay shouted, taking a step back.

"No, no, wait! I'm not a thief," Cody said, raising his hands.

"So what are you?" Lindsay said, looking at him curiously.

"Let's just say... a traveler with a terrible sense of direction," Cody said, casually adjusting his jacket.

The seagull approached, looking him up and down with obvious distrust.

Chris appeared in the doorway, frowning.

"What is this? An unexpected visitor?" Chris said, looking at Cody with disdain.

"Uh... hello, ma'am. I like your clothes, very dramatic," Cody said, giving an impromptu bow.

Chris clicked his tongue, crossing his arms.

"Lindsay, darling... don't be fooled. This isn't a prince," Chris said, sounding manipulative.

But Lindsay seemed intrigued by Cody's presence.

"What if I want to go out?" Lindsay said, turning to Chris.

Chris gave a low laugh.

"Oh, don't be ridiculous," said Chris.

"I don't want to stay here forever," Lindsay said determinedly.

Cody smirked, seeing the opportunity.

"You want adventure? Because I'm an expert at it," Cody said, holding out his hand.

Lindsay looked at Chris one last time, then at Cody... and took his hand.

"Let's go!" Lindsay said excitedly.

And together they jumped out the window, escaping from the tower.

Lindsay and Cody traveled through spectacular landscapes, full of magic and color.

Bright forests, where the trees moved in the wind as if they were alive.

Cities of glass, where the streets reflected the sky like a perfect mirror.

Mountains with golden waterfalls, where Lindsay was amazed by the beauty.

"This is amazing!" Lindsay said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"See? Everything you wanted was out here," Cody said, walking her through each spot.

The seagull followed them closely, watching with satisfaction.

Finally, they reached the lake, where floating lanterns lit up the night sky.

Lindsay let out a sigh of emotion.

"That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!" Lindsay said, approaching the water.

Cody looked at the scene with a slight smile.

"Okay, now all that's left is the finishing touch," Cody said.

Lindsay closed her eyes, and began to sing "I See the Light in You," as the lanterns continued to rise.

Cody joined in softly, his voice blending with hers in a genuine moment.

But just when everything seemed perfect, Chris and Chef appeared on the shore of the lake.

"Well, well, well. The rebel princess has gone too far," Chris said, crossing his arms.

"Leave her alone," Cody said, standing in front of Lindsay.

"Why do you always get into trouble?" Chris said mockingly.

"Because someone has to," Cody said, shrugging his shoulders confidently.

Chef grabbed a sword and lunged at Cody.

The fight began with quick and strategic movements.

Cody dodged the attacks with improvised acrobatics.

He used his surroundings to disarm Chef, causing him to lose his balance.

Chris tried to intervene, but Cody overpowered him with a quick move, knocking him to the ground.

"This isn't the end of it!" Chris said, frustrated.

"Yeah, yeah, right. Tell that to defeat," Cody said, dusting off his jacket.

Cody fell to his knees after the confrontation, tired but victorious.

Lindsay knelt beside him, taking a cloth from her dress to clean the wound on his arm.

"You're strong... but sometimes you go too far," Lindsay said, with a sweet smile.

"That's part of the charm," Cody said, looking at her closely.

Lindsay looked at the floating lanterns one last time, then turned to Cody.

"I think you did something right," Lindsay said, leaning toward him.

Their lips met in a soft kiss, and just at that moment...

The seagull began to clap its wings, celebrating the scene with enthusiasm.

The image slowly faded, and the dream came to an end.
